Support Worker required to support a lady who has autism who lives in the Newton Aycliffe areaWe are looking for someone to provide support with everyday activities for a lady with autism who suffers from anxiety and would benefit from support and encouragement around everyday tasks and trips into the community.Hours /Wage6 hours per week, £13.50 per hour.3 days per week, 2 hours per day.
There is flexibility about which days are worked and this can be discussed prior to and during interview. Days and hours worked would need to generally stay the same once established to encourage routine and reduce anxiety.
Hours would be either morning or afternoon, although one evening a week would also be considered. Hours could possibly be condensed into two days of three hours for the right applicant, but this would need to be discussed prior to/during interview.

DutiesOne day will be used to support and prompt to engage with personal care tasks and managing diabetes/food intake. This might include help around planning meals, help in the kitchen or other areas of the home, organising medication, assisting with paperwork.Another day is to support client to access the local community, for example with shopping, attending classes, taking to swimming.Additional Requirements/InformationExperience in working with people with autism/mental health issues preferred.Car owner with own vehicle required.Enhanced DBS will be required, employer will cover the cost.
