This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers looking for regular night work, consistent hours, and the potential for long-term opportunities with a reputable and long-standing logistics operation.The role involves night trunking and general haulage, with minimal handball, making it ideal for drivers who prefer straightforward driving work in a structured night operation.The RoleAs an HGV Class 1 Night Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely transport of goods across planned routes during night shifts, working closely with the transport team to maintain smooth operations.Duties Include:Operating Class 1 (Category C+E) vehicles safely and efficiently during night shifts.Completing trunking and general haulage work.Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and reporting defects.Ensuring all loads are secured correctly and transported safely.Following planned routes and delivery schedules.Completing delivery paperwork accurately and maintaining records.Providing a professional and courteous service at depots and customer sites.Adhering to all drivers' hours, tachograph regulations and road transport legislation.RequirementsValid UK HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.Valid Driver CPC qualification.Digital Tachograph Card.Minimum of 2 years’ Class 1 driving experience.No more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements).Strong understanding of drivers' hours and transport legislation.Reliable, flexible, and confident working independently at night.Strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and timekeeping.What We OfferCompetitive rates of pay.Regular, ongoing night work.Monday to Friday shifts.Start times between 18:00 – 22:00.Average shifts of 8–10 hours.Minimal handball.Weekly pay.Ongoing support from your dedicated Workchain Recruitment consultant.Potential for permanent opportunities for the right candidate.If you're an experienced HGV Class 1 Night Driver looking for your next opportunity in Foston, we'd love to hear from you.Apply today through the Workchain website or contact our Derby team on 01332 207766 for more information.
