HGV Class 1 DriverShardlowImmediate Start | Temp to Perm | Night ShiftsWorkchain Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join one of our long-standing clients based in Shardlow. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity, with a permanent contract available after 13 weeks for the successful candidate.Our client is a leading logistics provider, delivering to one of the UK's largest supermarket chains, offering stable, ongoing work and excellent long-term prospects.The RoleAs an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will:Complete nationwide deliveries to Aldi supermarkets.Carry out 1-2 drops per shift.Use a pump truck to unload deliveries where required.Ensure all deliveries are completed safely and on time.Complete vehicle checks and comply with all driver hours and road transport regulations.This role involves minimal handball, making it ideal for drivers looking for straightforward trunking and store delivery work.Shift PatternStart time: 7:30pmShift pattern: 5 days on, 2 days off, followed by 5 days on, 3 days off.Shifts are between 8 and 12 hours.A 3-day paid training programme begins on Wednesday at 6:00pm before moving onto your regular shift pattern and rota.RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must have:A valid Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence held for a minimum of 2 years.A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.A valid Digital Tachograph Card.Safety boots and a high-visibility vest.A reliable, professional attitude with a strong commitment to safety and customer service.If you're looking for a secure, long-term driving opportunity with immediate starts and the chance to secure a permanent position, apply today and a member of the Workchain Recruitment team will be in touch.
