One to one female Personal Assistant required for a lady with an Acquired Head Injury, in her own home in Hamsterly Mill (near Rowlands Gill). She is 47 years old, loves watching movies, doing craft and spending time with her family and her dogs.Brain injury experience is preferred, but not essential however experience in care is required.Car drivers are essential.Staff will be employed by the client. Not self-employed. Multiple staff required to cover all available hours.
Hours available are 24-32 hours per week. A range of day and night shifts. £14 per hour, raised to £15 per hour after 6 month probationary period. £80 per sleep in. Time and a half for bank holidays.
The main role of the position is to provide assistance, support and encouragement to the client, with the aim of promoting as much independence as possible.Brief job descriptionAssist client with the smooth running of her homeProvide domestic assistanceProvide meals for the clientAssist in personal careAssist the client with shoppingAccompany client to appointments, social events and holidaysHelp to care for the client’s pets (dogs)Full job description will be given at interview.
