Liverpool pet sitting: overnight house sitting and drop-in visits, self-employed
WoofWalk - L1 1JQ
from £15 an hour
Field-basedContractPart time
Liverpool has sent WoofWalk more applicants through Find a Job than any city outside London, nearly all for walking. We now want three self-employed pet sitters to go with them. Pet sitting here means the owner's home, not yours: drop-in visits to feed, water, give any medication and walk the dog, and overnight stays when the owner is away for a weekend or longer. You follow the routine the owner leaves and you send a daily update. It suits people with free evenings and weekends, and anyone who can commit to a whole week of cover at school-holiday time. From public sitter listings in Liverpool, a home visit goes for about £11.50 and a night of home boarding for about £30. Those are other sitters' prices. You set yours in the app, per visit and per night. Boarding dogs in your own home is a separate service in the app and needs a licence from the council before you take a booking. WoofWalk is a UK booking app, not an employer. You are self-employed, with no wage and no guaranteed work; owners book and pay through the app and the money is paid out to your bank. Nothing to pay to join. No commission for your first 14 days, then 15% per booking, falling to 10% for life once five of your own clients have joined through you. Your own tax, National Insurance and insurance. Over 18. Apply on Find a Job with the areas you can reach and whether overnights are possible.
