We are looking for Warehouse Operative to join a global independent soft drinks manufacturer with 78 manufacturing sites worldwide including 6 sites in the UK, based in Bridgwater (TA6) - Salary £32,050.70 pa (Basic £29,137.00 with a shift allowance of £2,913.70) - 4 on 4 off Rolling Shift pattern - covering days & nights - 12 Hour shifts – Day: 06:00 to 18:00 / 07:00 to 19:00 & Night: 18:00 to 06:00 or 19:00 - 07:00 - Benefits: 22 days holiday, pension, healthcare options, and employee benefits platform. This is no ordinary Warehouse Operative role; you will join the team and get trained up to operate on of the sites Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) truck – All training is provided. A Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) truck is like a reach forklift truck, but instead of the forks lifting up on a VNA the cab and the forks lift up as one meaning people that we bring on must be happy to work at heights of up to 16 metres high (approximately a 3–4 storey building). You will operate the VNA to ensure the materials and finished products are stored, moved and supplied safely and efficiently dispatched to customer on time every time. Previous VNA, Reach Truck or Counterbalance experience is desirable, but not essential, as full VNA training will be provided. You'll also ensure all Health & Safety, Food Safety and Quality standards are followed at all times. You will be responsible for handling goods and your day-to-day duties will include: - Picking produce and selecting stock - Stacking items into cages - Delivering items and cages to the loaders - Using manual handling equipment in a busy environment You'll move items from pallets to cages, stacking goods in layers and taking care not to damage any stock. To pick items for customer orders, you will use LLOPs and the AMT scanning system. In an average shift, you will repeatedly have to lift and move items weighing more than 15kg.
