Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative that ideally has Forklift experience to join a leading food manufacturing company based in Leicestershire This role will be working directly with our client on a temp to perm contract The Job: Working as a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for the fluid movement of goods ensuring that all bakeries are supplied with raw materials in a timely manner to ensure that production is not halted, unloading of raw materials before putting stock into the correct areas, loading of finished goods onto lorries in a timely manner to ensure transport deadlines are met Core Tasks are: • Core Task 1: Loading & Unloading: Efficiently unload incoming deliveries from lorries and load outgoing wagons/lorries. • Core Task 2: Timed Dispatches: Prioritise and execute the loading of wagons at specific scheduled times to ensure transport deadlines are met. • Core Task 3: Stock Replenishment: Proactively move stock from bulk storage to active production areas in a timely manner to ensure production has no delays whilst ensuring stock rotation is adhered to. • Core Task 4: Processing of incoming goods: check and record key details such as received date, temperature and use by date before carefully putting away deliveries into designated storage areas. • Core Task 5: Inventory Accuracy: Use warehouse management systems (or manual logs) to ensure all stock movements are recorded correctly. • Collaboration: Communicating with production team leaders to establish replenishment levels and finished products to be loaded daily, while reporting into warehouse team leader. • Data/Reporting: FLT check sheets to be completed daily, warehouse cleaning sheets to be checked daily, delivery/ dispatch notes to be checked and signed off daily • Clean As We Go: Ensuring we operate a clean as we go mindset by clearing empty pallets and rubbish in both the stock and production warehouses and labelling and putting stock in the correct location in a timely manner, keeping all yards clear and organised Carry out any reasonable request made of you by your manager. • There are 2 shifts available based on where needed • Monday to Friday 6am-3pm • Monday to Friday 8am-5pm • Both are 40 hours per week with overtime available when production is very busy and applies after 40 hours • You will start on National Living Wage but once trained to use forklift, you will receive an uplift in hourly salary of £2ph The person: • Previous warehouse experience - ideally experience operating a Counterbalance forklift truck • Stock counting experience • Good communication skills • Have access to transport as there are no public transport for the early shift start times LEC01

Warehouse Operative (Night Shift) - Nelson Main Site - £15.12 per hour Shift Pattern - 34 hours per week, 4 nights per week (worked between Sunday night - Friday night) We are on the lookout for Warehouse Operatives based in Nelson, Lancashire to come and join our fast paced warehouse environment, picking and packing orders to be sent to our customers. This is a night shift based-role with start time of 7pm, with a finish time dependant on the last van being picked and loaded, working 4 out of 6 nights Sunday to Friday. The Role: You will be responsible for ensuring that our customers orders are picked and packed in to our reusable green creates as per the order sheet, ready to be loaded onto our fleet of van, working quickly and efficiently. Using the handheld devices, you will scan the order sheets to ensure the correct stock is being picked, whilst at all times adhering to our health and safety procedures. You will ensure that the stock on the shelves is rotated in accordance with the on pack dates and help to maintain a clean, tidy warehouse.
