He needs 2:1 support because he can become overwhelmed or dysregulated, particularly in busy or unfamiliar environments. He uses a wheelchair when needed. If he becomes overwhelmed, he may need to use his wheelchair to help him move safely from one place to another and to provide him with a safe and comfortable way of travelling. He is verbal and uses a few meaningful words to communicate. Staff will need to be patient and attentive to his individual ways of communicating and understand that he may not always be able to express what he needs verbally. Two Female Personal Assistants are needed for a loving and funny little girl with a smile that lights up her face. She enjoys feeding pigeons, going to the sensory room at special stars and the ball pool at little astronauts. She is eleven years old and wants her PAs to help her to get out into her local community to do things that she enjoys. She knows what she wants and once in tune with her she is easily understood. She is cheeky and can be very challenging. She presents challenging behaviours such as grabbing, biting, hair pulling and biting herself. She struggles when she does not have a structured routine or when her routine changes. She needs someone to tend to all her personal care, she is incontinent and still using nappies so, if needed, someone would need to change her. She needs 2 female PAs to work together, in a 2:1 ratio, with this little girl and appointments will be subject to DBS checks. PAs will need to be flexible as to when the hours are worked. He wants to do things with a PA for some independence and during summer holidays he spends a lot of time with mum so would be good for him. Activates can vary as he is happy doing anything, but he particularly likes going on walks (would have to be wheelchair accessible) likes looking at trucks or going to the seaside. His hobbies include cars movie, Lightning McQueen, trucks, buses, trains, helicopter, he likes having his nails manicured he hates long nails or hang nails. He likes going on walks and likes watching traffic especially trucks. We sometimes stand on marina bridge and watch the trucks. He loves lights, messy play, music, guitars and will watch buskers in the street He likes spongebob and his favourites are Patrick and Mrs puff. He needs help with pad changes, washing, getting dressed, bathed, undressed, he is non mobile so needs help moving, he can sit unaided and commando crawl he prefers flooring to crawl on as carpet is harder. He is pre verbal he will use 1 worded things in a sentence for example he will say "mam" I'll say "yes " he will follow with what he wants like "car" or " guitar" or "spongebob" They will need to drive and have room for his wheelchair and lifting into the car as he has no mobility.
