We are currently seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our team at our Heathfield site. Key Responsibilities: Operate Counterbalance Forklift Trucks and Articulated Pivot Trucks, ensuring safe and efficient movement of goods. A valid and up-to-date forklift licence is desirable. Load and unload vehicles, ensuring all goods are handled safely, securely, and in accordance with company procedures. Accurately complete order picking, stock movements, and dispatch activities using the Warehouse Management System (WMS), Zebra PDA scanners, and other warehouse technology. Receive, locate, replenish, consolidate, rotate, and dispatch stock, maintaining high levels of inventory accuracy and supporting efficient warehouse operations. Use Excel and other digital systems to carry out stock checks, basic reporting, inventory control activities, and operational administration tasks. Complete all required warehouse documentation and paperwork accurately, following company procedures and reporting any stock discrepancies, equipment defects, or operational issues promptly. Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised working environment, ensuring all equipment is operated responsibly and kept in good working condition. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and workplace safety. Required Experience: Hold a current Counterbalance forklift licence is desirable but not essential (training will be provided). Good communication and team working skills. Attention to detail is essential. Ability to work within a fast paced environment. Basic numeracy and literacy skills. Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative. About You We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager with a minimum of 3 years' warehouse management, logistics or inventory control experience, ideally gained within a production, manufacturing, food, beverage or similarly fast-paced environment. Experience working within a bonded warehouse, bonded store or another highly regulated stock-control environment would be particularly advantageous. You will ideally have: * Strong experience managing warehouse operations, stock control and inventory systems, including WMS. * Proven experience leading and developing warehouse teams. * A valid forklift qualification and experience operating MHE, with a good understanding of warehouse health & safety requirements. (This can be refreshed in needed) * Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to implement process and system improvements. * A strong understanding of the importance of stock accuracy, traceability, documentation and compliance. * Experience working in an environment where strict procedures and regulatory requirements must be followed. * Experience with MHE fleet management, contracts, racking inspections and relevant safety legislation such as LOLER and PUWER would also be advantageous.
