PRODUCTION AND MACHINERY • Set up, operate and monitor tape slitting and conversion equipment in line with work orders and agreed standards. • Check finished rolls for correct dimensions, consistent quality, accurate labelling and secure packaging. • Carry out routine cleaning and preventative maintenance checks to keep machinery safe, reliable and efficient. • Take ownership of minor process or mechanical issues, resolving them where possible and escalating faults promptly. • Record production information and variances accurately, while helping reduce waste and improve yield. SAFETY AND SITE OPERATIONS • Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the warehouse, production and yard areas. • Operate baling equipment for cardboard and polythene safely and correctly. • Open and secure warehouse shutters and fire exits, keeping access routes and the yard clear. • Report hazards, near misses, faults or equipment issues promptly and follow all health and safety procedures. • Work flexibly with SHC Repack and other teams, sharing knowledge and supporting common goals.
