    Our client urgently requires Container Warehouse Loaders and Unloaders for a local company based in Peterborough. Hours are Monday to Friday with varying start time depending on when the containers come into the depot. Starts could be 6am, 7am, 8am or 9am lasting 8-9 hours per shift. In this role you are accountable for: • Collate and despatch orders to customer requirements with high level of accuracy. • To check goods in against delivery notes for accuracy and damages. • Load and unload 20-40 foot containers within 2-3 hours per container working with a team of 3 staff per container. • Be able to complete heavy lifting duties of frozen food goods. • Adhere to the company's Health, Safety and Hygiene Policies. • Pick customer orders as per company procedures, undertaking all necessary controls, ensuring temperature disciplines, stacking, labelling and security procedures are complied with. • High accuracy of detail when accepting inbound deliveries. • Assist with regular and spot stock takes as required. • Work with colleagues to ensure the workplace environment is always maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness. • Placing and picking stock from the correct location to ensure traceability • Unload and load stock from vehicles safely and diligently. • Comply with quarantine procedures and non-conformance procedures as required. • To comply with all Company procedures ensuring that all paperwork associated with the role is completed accurately and in a timely manner. • Follow all SOPs, BRC and hygiene standards. • Follow the requirements of the Standard Operating Procedures for the safe and legal handling of food. • Take reasonable care of both your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your acts or omissions, ensuring all company safety and quality systems are adhered to. Raising concerns and reporting any incidents to your manager. • Ensuring all waste is segregated and disposed of in line with the company processes, recycling wherever possible. • To carry out any other reasonable management instruction to the expected standards which ultimately supports the business. The skills, qualifications and experience you will have • Warehouse experience. • Understanding of Health & Safety legislation. • Strong communication skills, including verbal and written. • Basic computer skills. • A ‘Can do’ attitude and proactive approach. • Effective team player. • Good numeracy skills. • Be physically active due to the nature of the role, dealing with heavy goods. • Comfortable working in a temperature up to Plus four degrees and up to minus 25 degrees in Celsius. • High level of attention to detail.
