This post is based at Croydon University Hospital Clinical Blood Sciences Laboratory (CBS). However, you will be expected to work at any of the SWLP sites as and when required. You will be required to receive and book-in patient samples, work with laboratory equipment and processes across the blood sciences disciplines (Biochemistry, Haematology, Blood Transfusion, Central Pathology Reception, COVID / influenza sample testing). Although previous experience as a biomedical support worker in a clinical laboratory will be an advantage, full training will be provided. Experience with Beckman Coulter equipment, Remisol and Winpath LIMS will be an advantage, but full training will be provided. The Carshalton & Wallington Integrated Recovery Hub is a community-based mental health service for working-age adults between 18 to 70 years, who have experienced severe and enduring mental illness. The Carshalton & Wallington IRH works collaboratively with clients, their carers and networks with the aim of minimising the impact of mental disorder has on their lives. The friendly team is made of integrated health and social care professionals. We work in close partnership with GPs, Housing, Police and other key partners, including voluntary organisations.
