This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and passionate CBT Therapist to join Westminster Talking Therapies Service (IAPT) located in the diverse and vibrant community of the London borough of Westminster. Our team is key in the work we do and service provided to the population of Westminster. You will have opportunities for regular clinical supervision from the senior leadership team, specialist supervision for PTSD and training opportunities, such as Behavioural Couples Therapy and LTC. You will provide clinical supervision to our Step 2 team, including qualified and trainee psychological wellbeing practitioner and will receive supervision training to equip you in doing this. Our Step 3 team also provide supervision for our trainee clinical psychologists and CBT trainees on placement with our service. Wellbeing is important within our service, and we are a diverse, collaborative and cohesive team. We offer flexible working patterns including onsite and remote working. You will hold a Step 3 caseload of anxiety disorders, and depression and offer CBT treatment in line with NICE guidance. At Step 3 we offer treatment digitally and face-to-face in order to best meet the needs of our service users. In your role you will be involved with our duty team and screening referrals, have regular supervision, regular reflective practice, monthly team CPD and monthly sub-team and wider team meetings, a chance to be involved in areas of interest including perinatal, community outreach, young adults, older adults, long-term health conditions, and LGBTQ+. There are opportunities for training, plus career progression within the team. The ability to deliver therapy in local languages in desirable. You must be BABCP accredited or have attended a BABCP accredited CBT training course to be eligible for this post. If you working towards accreditation, you will also be considered for the post as long as you meet the shortlisting criteria and can demonstrate you are on track to meeting the course requirements. You will be expected to participate in extended hours clinics offered by the service which include evening clinics. The catchment area of the post is the London borough of Westminster. We have two main hubs that we work from, one is in Victoria and one is near Paddington. We operate an agile working policy where staff combine remote working and being on-site to deliver face-to-face appointments and other service commitments that require a hub-based presence. The post-holder will work part-time hours and may be required to work at any times between 8am and 8pm on weekdays including up to two evening clinics as required by the service. Ensure the outcome of assessment is communicated to the referring agent and other professionals involved. Determine suitability of the approach and refer on unsuitable individuals to appropriate agencies and/or provide advice, including psycho-education, as appropriate. 1.2 Formulate and implement plans for the specialist psychotherapeutic treatment and/or management of patient’s mental health problems, based upon an appropriate conceptual framework of those problems derived from a broad theoretical knowledge of cognitive behaviour therapy, and employing methods based upon evidence of proven efficacy within modality. It is expected that the post-holder will treat patients across the range of severity. 1.3 Be responsible for implementing a range of specialist cognitive behavioural therapy interventions for individual patients and groups. Adjusting and refining psychotherapeutic formulations as practice and experience demand and drawing upon different explanatory models and objective cognitive behaviour therapy measures to maintain a number of provisional hypotheses, whilst maintaining ethical and legal standards. 1.4 Regularly monitor and evaluate therapy programmes and progress, using objective measures where appropriate, and communicate this to referring agent and other professionals involved as appropriate. 1.5 Evaluate and make decisions about treatment options considering both theoretical and therapeutic models and highly complex factors concerning historical, developmental and cultural processes and systems, which have shaped the individual. 1.6 Include family members and others involved in clients’ problems in therapy programmes where necessary. 1.7 Assess and deliver therapy programmes in the community or GP Surgery and other settings as necessary. 1.8 Discharging patients as appropriate and arrange follow-up as appropriate on completion of therapy. Ensure outcome and follow-up of treatment is communicated to the referring agent and other professionals involved as appropriate. 1.9 Exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment, treatment, discharge and onward referral of patients whose problems are managed by psychotherapeutic interventions. 1.10 Assess and manage clinical risk to self and others. Involve other agencies as appropriate. 1.11 Adhere to the BABCP and other relevant professional codes of conduct, policy and guidance. 1.12 Maintain the highest standards of clinical record keeping including electronic data-entry and recording, report writing for the purposes of personally generated clinical, audit, teaching and research information. 1.13 Exercise responsibility for professional self-governance in accordance with BABCP and other relevant professional codes of practice and conduct and Trust policies and procedures. 1.14 Develop and maintain knowledge of local resources and relationships with relevant statutory, voluntary and community groups and organisations. 1.15 Develop and propose innovative responses to identified needs of the diverse and multi-cultural community the service serves in collaboration and consultation with colleagues and other relevant teams and agencies. The post-holder will work as a member of the multidisciplinary team within the Brent & Harrow Perinatal Mental Health Service, providing specialist psychological assessment and evidence-based interventions for women experiencing a range of mental health, social and emotional difficulties during the perinatal period. Interventions will be adapted to the needs of women and their infants and will include individual and group-based work within the community. The post-holder will contribute psychological perspectives to assessment, formulation, care planning and risk management, and provide specialist advice and consultation to MDT colleagues and the wider professional network. They will also provide appropriate support and signposting to families and carers. Working autonomously within professional guidelines and service policies, the post-holder will participate in team meetings, case discussions and reflective practice, and contribute to the development of effective, recovery-oriented models of care. The post-holder will work closely with relevant local services, including maternity, Talking Therapies, mental health and children’s social care services, to support coordinated and seamless care pathways. They will contribute to service development, audit and research relevant to perinatal mental health, and provide shared clinical supervision to trainee and Band 7 psychologists and other professionals. To provide highly specialist psychological assessments of women referred to the PMHS and meeting criteria for specialist perinatal psychological interventions. To be responsible for developing and delivering evidence-based treatment protocol for severe and complex psychological disorders occurring in the perinatal period (e.g. severe maternal OCD, depression, anxiety, medically unexplained symptoms) and, when appropriate, for parent-infant relationship disturbances (e.g. Video Interactive Guidance). We have an exciting opportunity to join North London NHS Foundation Trust as a Band 5 Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician (MMPT), working at the heart of our inpatient pharmacy service. This is a varied, patient-facing role where you will work directly with patients and multidisciplinary teams to improve medicines safety and optimise treatment. You will have the opportunity to use and develop your skills in medicines reconciliation, patient consultation and counselling, discharge planning and medicines optimisation. The post is a cross-site role working across St Ann’s Hospital and Chase Farm Hospital, with an initial indicative allocation of 60% St Ann’s Hospital and 40% Chase Farm Hospital. You will be expected to work flexibly across NLFT sites according to service need, and the balance between sites may change in response to operational requirements and future service developments. The role may also develop into a rotational post across medicines management services and/or Trust sites as the service evolves. The Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) is an early intervention programme funded by NHS England with the aim of improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people in the community in response to the government’s Green Paper for Young People’s Mental Health. The practitioner in this role will focus on providing day to day clinical oversight and support for the Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs), alongside senior leadership. · The role will ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the MHST, providing high quality, safe and responsive specialist mental health services to children, young people, parents/carers and professionals provided in accordance with Children and Young People’s mental health training principles, in partnership with service users and partner agencies, working as part of a multi-agency system.
