GI Surgery is delighted to be offering four General Surgery Resident Doctor positions. General Surgery SHO posts x3 (without teaching element): This post provides specific training and experience in General Surgery, experience on the wards, clinics and in theatres. Duties include clerking patients, initiating management plans, and supporting patient flow to ASU or the wards when other team members are in theatre. The post holder will also provide support and leadership to more junior staff on the team. This position offers equal training opportunities for all members of the team and so the post holder can expect to have sufficient training during this post.There will be opportunity to attend theatre sessions, weekly ward rounds and outpatient clinics. General Surgery SHO post x2 (with teaching element 20-30%): This fellowship (split between two SHO post-holders) is equally split between educational (20-30%) and clinical duties (70-80%), designed to provide a teaching opportunity within the undergraduate MBBS programme at UCL and a simultaneous clinical training opportunity at UCLH. It will suit an enthusiastic post-foundation year doctor with an interest to develop his/her career in surgery and to enhance their CV to apply for a National Training Number (NTN) or an Academic clinical fellow. Harrow Adult Mental Health is looking for a highly motivated and passionate Principal Psychologist to join our established therapies team. This post is offered within our innovative Adult Community Mental Health Hub (CMHH, Bentley House) which provides intervention to adults presenting with a range of secondary care mental health difficulties; including psychosis, Complex Emotional Needs and PTSD. The successful candidate will play a leading role in supporting the psychology team to provide highly specialist psychological assessment, collaborative formulation with service users, and consultation to the wider team – to support the development of creative, personalised and multi-disciplinary care plans that help individuals under the care of the CMHH to move forward. They will also support the provision of specialist psychological intervention drawing on a range of evidence-based modalities. The post-holder will take a leading role in the ongoing development of Harrow’s Trauma-Informed Approaches (TIA) model for adult mental health services. Over the last year, our CMHH has rolled out TIA and trained the full MDT in Power Threat Meaning Framework formulation and Psychological Stabilisation interventions. This project builds on Harrow’s innovative TIA work in acute services over the last six years; now published (Nikopaschos et al. 2023; 2025) and influencing National Policy (see NHSE Guidelines for Acute Inpatient Mental Health Care for Adults and Older Adults, 2023). Bentley House CMHH works closely with the rest of the Harrow mental health system (including the Home Treatment and Inpatient teams) to provide holistic intervention to adults with severe and enduring mental health difficulties. The post holder will join an expanding therapies team, committed to providing highly specialist and trauma-informed psychological care. They will work closely with the full range of MDT professionals, including psychiatry, nursing, occupational therapy and peer support. They will play a key leadership role in supporting the psychology team to provide assessment and formulation, creative multi-disciplinary care plans, and psychological intervention that follows service users across the Harrow system. The post-holder will be expected to work as a senior member of the MDT, including the provision of consultation, co-working, teaching, training, supervision and research as well as developing specific training to enhance the systematic provision of psychological interventions offered to service users by all members of the team within a ‘stepped-care’ framework. They will make a leading contribution to the learning culture of the team and wider service, and play an integral role in the further development and embedding of TIA. The opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified Parent-Infant Psychotherapist post within the Hillingdon Community Perinatal Mental Health Service. This position is open to applicants who have a substantial years post-qualification experience, however, appropriately qualified candidates with demonstrable expertise and experience in perinatal mental health who have less than significant years post qualification experience, may also be considered. The parent-infant psychotherapist will have a significant role in contributing to the specialist interventions for families offered extended period of care and providing psychotherapeutic treatment promoting the quality of the relationship between the mother and her infant. Aligning to the Long-Term Plan, our service is now offering a review at 12-months post natal for provisions of Extended Period of Care up until 24-months post-natal. Furthermore, we are also offering Partner’s Screening for mental health needs in significant others and additional signposting. The Team provides a Monday-Friday, 9.00-5.00 service based at the Hillingdon , Riverside Centre, Uxbridge. The successful applicant would be expected to have the flexibility to work occasional extended opening hours to facilitate early or late clinic appointments, home visits or training. Preceptorships will be considered. The applicant must have excellent clinical skills, and experience with a wide variety of patient groups across the whole life span. In addition to the focus on maternal mental health, specialist perinatal mental health services also consider the context and the infant and parent-infant relationship. Applicants must have a proven ability to formulate, document, implement and review plans for the psychotherapeutic treatment and management of women with a full range of clinical problems. They should demonstrate and ability to thoroughly assess risk, to formulate safe and effective risk management plans and document these clearly and effectively. We are looking for an experienced parent-infant psychotherapist with excellent interpersonal skills. They must be keen to work pro-actively and be confident and motivated as well as flexible and able to show initiative. They must be robust and resourceful and willing to work in an environment which can be demanding and challenging. Appropriate training, support and regular supervision will be provided by the Lead Parent-Infant Psychotherapist and by the MDT, as well as group supervisions ‘Holding the Baby in Mind’. We expect applicants to have experience of managing their own caseloads in a complex multidisciplinary context. We also expect applicants to have experience of participating in formal child protection procedures. JOB PURPOSE AND REQUIREMENTS · The post requires a flexible approach with a broad range of applied psychotherapeutic techniques, given the variety and time specific nature of treatment during pregnancy, around birth and in the postnatal first year. · The post holder needs to have had experience in the field of perinatal mental health, in particular parent-infant interventionsin complex high risk cases. The postholder will require the skills to develop outreach clinics for pregnant and postnatal women with mental health problems whilst working as an autonomous practitioner. The post will require a good communicator, skilled in liaison as well as an experienced clinician who would be able to offer advice and consultation to midwives and health visitors and other relevant professionals working in the community. · To provide an efficient, effective, comprehensive and specialist psychological assessment and psychotherapy treatment plan for women and their partners during the perinatal period. Patients with moderate and severe, highly complex and persistent mental health problems are seen within this service. The work will include offering an opinion on diagnosis/formulation to patients seen within the Perinatal Service in discussion with the Consultant Perinatal Psychiatrist. · To provide the particular highly specialist areas of expertise gained in post qualification specialist training to perinatal patients who present with complex and persistent mental health problems within the perinatal period. · To provide advice and consultation from a psychological perspective around parent infant relationship and the psychotherapeutic care’ psychological care to psychologist and non-psychologist colleagues, and to other, non-professional carers, workingautonomously within professional guidelines and within the overall framework of the service’s policies and procedures. · To be informed by evidence-based practice and participate in audit, policy, service development and research within the team · To work autonomously within professional guidelines and within the overall framework of the service’s policies and procedures. · To undertake and oversee audit and research activity in the sector. · To offer highly specialised clinical work – both assessment and treatment in the Perinatal Service to distressed pregnant and postnatal women who are suffering from perinatal mental health disorders. 3. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES 3.1 Clinical: · To exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment, treatment and discharge of clients whose problems are managed by MDT and psychotherapeuticbased care plans ensuring appropriate assessment, formulation and intervention. We are seeking to recruit a CAMHS ADHD Nurse Prescriber with excellent clinical skills and a strong interest in working with neurodivergent children and their families. This is a 24-month fixed term post, within the Lewisham CAMHS ADHD treatment team, to provide leadership and management support to the ADHD medication review team to ensure access and flow are prioritised while maintaining own caseload. The post holder will support in leading a highly specialist service for children and young people with ADHD, with co-occurring neurodivergence and/or mental health difficulties. The post holder will be expected to contribute to specialist assessments and treatment plans. The role involves co-ordinating medication clinics and includes undertaking non-medical prescribing. The ADHD Team is a small but efficient team based within Lewisham CAMHS providing ADHD medication reviews to children and young people up to the age of 18, and supporting other teams with ADHD medication titration and providing psychoeducation groups. The team works closely with other teams within Lewisham CAMHS. This post is clinically based at Kaleidoscope Centre in Catford, a short walk from Catford train stations or Ladywell station. Clinical To lead the provision and delivery of the ADHD clinics provided by Lewisham CAMHS, and be a highly specialist practitioner within the assessment, treatment, and pharmacological management of CYP with ADHD and co-morbid mental health and/or neurodiverse difficulties, assuming responsibility for own caseload. To work as an independent and autonomous professional within professional guidelines and the policies and procedures of the service, taking full responsibility for own work. To coordinate ADHD medication review and titration clinics in conjunction with the medical staff and other non-medical prescribers.
