The role of the consultant is to provide psychiatric assessment and treatment where appropriate, contribute a psychiatric perspective, provide senior clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary team, offer consultation to other professionals and agencies and facilitate the development of the team and wider service. The team, is clinically led by the CTL and the consultant psychiatrist together with an 8b clinician. It is a small cohesive team comprising of clinical psychology, family therapy, nursing, CAMHS Practitioner and an OT who has a joint role leading on internal duty system, as well as a Specialist Registrar from the GOSH/RLH rotation and an F2 doctor from HUH. The Team caseload is around 45 – 50 cases including approximately 10 Early Intervention for Psychosis young people.
