This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Wellbeing Practitioner (SWP) or Mental Health Practitioner, with a background of working with education settings, to work in Lewisham CAMHS Mental Health Support Team (MHST). The post holder will be an SWP due to complete the approved 2-year SWP Post Graduate Diploma in Jan 2027 OR a registered Mental Health Practitioner who has undertaken a recognised qualification in one of the core mental health professions. The post holder will use their knowledge, skills, and experience to supervise trainee and qualified Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) and contribute to the general service development and functioning. The post holder will also manage a defined caseload with a focus on providing focused assessment and evidence-based intervention for children and young people (CYP) with mild to moderate mental health difficulties and their parents/carers. Part of this role will include being a named MHST Link Practitioner to a group of schools/colleges, regularly liaising with education staff, external agencies, CAMHS colleagues and other local services. • To manage a defined caseload of children and young people presenting with emotional health and wellbeing difficulties in schools • To co-ordinate and deliver individualised care packages / programmes for children and young people and evaluate these programmes, ensuring high standards of practice in accordance with national guidelines and trust policy. • To provide specialist mental health advice, consultation and signposting using an outcome-based triage model to education settings • To demonstrate the ability to work as an autonomous specialist practitioner in relation to their specialist area and in clinic which will include the reading and recording of the clinical observations of each child and the ongoing assessment of the effectiveness of treatment packages. The MHSTs are a new service designed to help meet the mental health needs of children and young people in education settings. They are made up of senior clinicians, CAMHS Practitioners and Education Wellbeing Practitioners (EWPs). They are based across education settings as an additional resource within a whole-system approach to promote resilience and wellbeing, to support earlier intervention, enable appropriate signposting and deliver evidence-based support, care and interventions. The MHSTs is partnered with their education settings to design a bespoke offer, based on a school’s individual needs and works with the mental health services that are already in place, such as counselling, educational psychology, school nurses, pastoral care, educational welfare officers, VCSEs, the local authority, including children’s social care, and NHS Children and Young People Mental Health Services (CYPMHS). There are currently three MHSTs in Lewisham, working across 39 schools. The successful candidate will be employed by Lewisham CAMHS where the MHST deliver emotional wellbeing interventions using Guided Self-Help strategies. Over the next year a brand-new state of the art aseptic suite will be opening at the Sutton site to facilitate the growth of the aseptic service. The Job Description outlines the roles of the Senior Aseptic Assistant, Aseptic Services. You will work closely with and support the Chief Technician and Deputy Chief Technician in the day to day running of the Technical Services aseptic suite, providing a quality, GMP compliant service, supplying aseptically prepared medicines including clinical trials, in a timely manner to all service users. You will also work in the support areas of the aseptic suite setting up product trays for products to be made and carrying out the compounding of aseptic products including gene therapy. All our staff work closely with our 3rd party providers to order, process, and distribute bought-in pre-ordered IV products. You will become fully trained and accredited in all processes appropriate to the Band 3 role including assembly, 1st dispense check process and compounding. This post would be suitable for individuals who are seeking a career as a specialist shoulder surgeon and has an excellent track record of candidates progressing to Consultant posts in the UK and overseas. Candidates should have completed higher surgical training in Trauma and Orthopaedics including relevant experience in the subspecialty of shoulder and upper limb. Possession of the FRCS(Orth) or equivalent and full GMC registration are essential. Candidates must have achieved the CCT and be eligible for entry on to the UK Specialist Register prior to commencement of the post. Individuals who do not possess FRCS(Orth) or equivalent and a CCT need not apply. This post will work alongside our current Shoulder & Elbow consultants, Mr Patel and Mr Little. The post offers instruction in the management of patients with a range of shoulder and upper limb problems and exposure to surgery from basic to complex including arthroscopic reconstruction, primary and complex arthroplasty, trauma and post-trauma reconstruction. The post provides ample training opportunities in surgery of the shoulder, elbow and upper limb. The post holder will be expected to complete a service improvement project and participate actively in audit, research and teaching. The post holder’s duties will include delivering care for patients under the care of the Shoulder and upper limb service, providing support to junior medical staff and receiving support and training from Consultant staff. Specific responsibilities will include overseeing the upper limb trauma service as well as the outcomes programme for shoulder and elbow surgery. The successful applicant will be eligible to apply for the BOA Future Leaders Programme. All BOA Leadership Fellows must be members of the BOA, or join prior to commencing the scheme. The programme cost for 2025-26 is £3960/- (including VAT) and may be subject to change.Two thirds of the cost is met by the host Trust whilst the Future Leader Fellow will be responsible for one third of the cost (this does not include travel and accommodation costs). SWLEOC is one of the largest elective hubs of its kind in the UK and is well recognised as a centre of excellence and an exemplar during the post-pandemic recovery. The post holder will be responsible for:  Conducting outpatient clinics (seeing a mixture of new and follow-up patients) under supervision of the consultant and independently.  Assisting in the operating theatres and conducting parallel lists with the consultant when appropriate. The timetable will include the equivalent of 3-4 clinics and 3-4 operating lists per week. There will be opportunities for supervised and independent operating commensurate with skills.  Running the upper limb trauma service, ensuring patients are appropriately prioritised for surgery in close co-operation with the Trauma co-ordinators and developing referral pathways for upper limb trauma.  Assessment, care and treatment of patients presenting and referred to the subspecialty. Famous for pioneering organ transplants and housing one of Europe's largest dedicated heart attack centre. The hospital has 168 beds, more than 1,300 staff, five operating theatres and four catheter laboratories. The Four catheter laboratories have dedicated angiography equipment, a Toshiba Infinix, Siemens Q.zen, Philips Allura ( about to be replaced with a Philips Azurion) and a Philips Allura FD10/10 Bi-plane. Work in the department mainly relates to cardiothoracic imaging. Plain Film general work is also undertaken using a Philips DR unit and a Philips fluoroscopy room. Mobile x-ray units for use in the intensive care, recovery units and other wards. There is a mobile image intensifier mainly used for thoracic theatre cases. There are 2 GE CT scanners, and 2 Siemens MRI scanners, an ultrasound and nuclear medicine service and a Dexa Scanner. The Imaging Department at Harefield Hospital is comprised of a team of Radiographers, Imaging Support Staff, Admin Staff and Radiologists. As well as working within the Imaging Department, Radiographers rotate through the Catheter Laboratories working in the larger multidisciplinary workforce. At our dedicated heart attack centre, we deal with heart attack emergencies from outer north-west London and further afield, providing primary angioplasty in our specialist catheter laboratories which operate 24/7.
