The post-holder will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the pharmacy stock and ensuring delivery schedules are to time. Acute Care Pathway Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the operation of the ACP within its bed capacity during the OOH period and providing leadership during working hours. The post holder will coordinate access to Acute, PICU, Older Adult beds, Crisis Hostels as well as PDU and HBPOS Capacity against out of hours demands, prioritising based on clinical needs & risk, system pressures and escalate to the Service Line, or on call Team where appropriate. Post Holder will lead the bed management related meetings, including weekends and bank holidays, responding at an operational level. The post holder will seek assurance around plans for patients being discharged on the day and in the coming days, identified barriers to discharge how actions are being prioritised with specific time frames to avoid delayed discharges or transfers of care. The Post holder will liaise with the senior psychiatry registrar/consultant, relevant Home Treatment Teams (HTT) and Integrated Recovery Hubs (IRH) to consider reviewing suitable patients for early discharges, step downs and explore suitable alternatives to admission where this can be appropriately facilitated safely. The Post Holder will have an oversight of the Purpose of Admission and ensure these are clear, specific and that alternatives had been explored. In the absence of ‘in hour’s’ managers, Discharge Coordinators and ‘in hours’ medical resources, the post holder will find it harder to create new capacity in the ACP system in the OOH period. The post holder must therefore start the OOH period with a bed stock reserve, gate keep diligently to commit that reserve wisely and try to reconstitute the reserve whenever possible. The post holder must support the Assessing and Triage services in finding alternatives to admissions. The post holder will work collaboratively with external stakeholders. The post holder will be expected to be a representation of all the Trust values in dealings with all staff and patients. We provide a comprehensive ultrasound service to a wide range of specialities within the hospital and local GPs. At Hammersmith Hospital, we perform a wide range of ultrasound examinations including general abdominal, gynaecological, transplant kidneys, small parts, venous and carotid Doppler and contrast enhanced microbubble scans. At Charing Cross Hospital, we perform general abdominal, gynaecological, small parts, Testes, including Head & Neck, venous Doppler, MSK and contrast enhanced microbubble scans. At St Mary’s Hospital, we perform general abdominal, gynaecological, small parts, MSK and early pregnancy scans. We also have a busy recurrent miscarriage clinic where we provide ultrasound services to investigate for congenital uterine anomalies using 3D TV scan. Posts are available at Hammersmith Hospital, Charing Cross Hospital and St Mary’s Hospital. Sonographers are not required to rotate between sites and current working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00 but this may change in the future to provide 7-day service. All three departments are excellent to work in, where further training and development is supported. You will be expected to work independently, however support from other sonographers and radiologists is always available and encouraged. • To provide an efficient high quality ultrasound service comprising unsupervised scanning sessions within the trust maintaining a high standard of patient care. • To work as an independent practitioner by performing ultrasound scans to a high diagnostic standard, formulating a report and communicating the results to the appropriate clinician and to accountable for own professional actions. • Provide specialist advice pertaining to the ultrasound service. • Responsible for training and supervision of all staff within the ultrasound unit. • To be actively involved and assist with the department Audit, Research and Clinical Governance programme. • To deputise for Superintendent Sonographer. This post would be suitable for individuals who are seeking a career as a specialist foot and ankle surgeon, should have at least 6 years experience at SPR level in Trauma and Orthopaedics including at least 12 months experience in the subspecialty of foot and ankle and are approaching or have achieved the CCT. Possession of the FRCS(Orth) or equivalent and full GMC registration are essential. The post will have a fixed-term tenure of 12 months.The post offersexposure to Foot & Ankle surgery from basic to complex including instruction in the management of a wide spectrum of foot and ankle disorders, arthroscopic procedures, minimally invasive procedures, arthrodesis, forefoot reconstructions, diabetic /Charcot reconstruction, trauma and post- trauma reconstruction. Duties will include delivering care for patients under the care of the Foot and Ankle Consultants and team, providing support to foundation and core training doctors, surgical scrub practitioner, allied F&A health professionals and receiving support and training from Consultant staff. The successful applicant will be eligible to apply for the BOA Future Leaders Programme. All BOA Leadership Fellows must be members of the BOA, or join prior to commencing the scheme. The programme cost for 2025-26 is £3960/- (including VAT) and may be subject to change. Two thirds of the cost is met by the host Trust whilst the Future Leader Fellow will be responsible for one third of the cost (this does not include travel and accommodation costs). PLEASE NOTE: The full amount will need to be paid in the first instance by yourselves, and then two thirds claimed back via the Trust employee expense system.
