English Teacher – Birmingham Key Details - Position: English Teacher - Location: Birmingham - Start Date: October 2026 - Contract: Supply - Pay: £175–£250 per day, paid to scale and dependent on experience The Role We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a secondary school in Birmingham from October 2026 on a supply basis. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and well-structured English lessons, helping students to develop their literacy, communication and analytical skills. You will be responsible for planning and delivering effective lessons, assessing student progress and maintaining high expectations of behaviour and achievement. The Candidate The ideal candidate will: - Have strong subject knowledge in English - Have experience teaching English within a secondary school setting - Be able to deliver engaging and accessible lessons - Demonstrate effective classroom and behaviour management skills - Adapt teaching to meet the needs of students with different abilities - Be organised, reliable and adaptable - Build positive professional relationships with students and colleagues The School You will be joining a secondary school in Birmingham, contributing to students’ academic progress and development in English. This supply opportunity provides the chance to make a positive contribution to students’ learning while working as part of the wider teaching team.
