Contracts Manager We're working with a 5 star residential developer who is looking to strengthen its senior team across Sussex, Hampshire and Surrey with the appointment of an experienced Contracts Manager. This is a key role within the region and one that goes beyond simply overseeing a group of sites. You'll have responsibility for around 4-5 developments at different stages, from new sites coming through to projects already well into construction, while also playing a part in helping the region grow. The developments will be a mixture of private-sale and partnership schemes, so the ability to understand that different projects can require different approaches will be important. The Role You'll be responsible for providing clear direction across your developments, supporting your Site and Project teams and making sure everyone understands what good looks like. This is a role for someone who naturally looks beyond the immediate issue in front of them. A good Contracts Manager should be able to walk onto a site, understand where the problems are, ask the right questions and then work with the team to put things right - without taking ownership away from the people running the site. Ensure Health and Safety, Environmental and legal compliance for all operations, deliver the contract's recycling and diversion targets, and identify opportunities for continued innovation and process improvements. Act as a member of the leadership team, contributing to business strategy and making decisions that affect revenue, contract retention, compliance and Veolia's reputation. What we're looking for: Ideally experience managing a collection service or integrated waste contract of similar scale, with demonstrated success in contract delivery and client management. Advanced financial management skills with full P&L management experience, including budget ownership, business planning, and financial decision-making. Experience leading large multi-sites operational teams, with strong capabilities in team management, performance management, and talent development. Strong client liaison skills at senior level, ideally with local authority experience, with ability to negotiate and manage complex contractual relationships. Advanced business acumen with strategic planning capabilities, informed decision-making skills, and ability to identify and implement continuous improvements and operational efficiencies.
