This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join the newly developed Forensic Intellectual and Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (FIND) Community Team in South London and Maudsley (SLaM). The FIND Team will provide safe transition for inpatients discharged from the inpatient Forensic Services to the community providing specialist assessment, treatment and consultation to the Forensic Service in order to ensure a smooth, safe and clinically justified pathway to individuals with mental illness, offending history and learning disability with or without neurodevelopmental disorder. The three forensic services of SLaM, South West London and St Georges( SWLSTG), and Oxleas together comprise the South London Mental Health and Community Partnership (SLP). The SLP’s overarching goals centre on bringing care closer to home, improving patient pathways and outcomes by delivering excellent care in better environments. The SLP has a track record of delivering highly effective, clinically informed service developments in order to better meet the needs of service-users. The FIND provision is one such development and the SLaM FIND Team will therefore work closely with the FIND Teams in each of the other Trusts in order to expedite service-user’s transition through inpatient settings to community provision. The post holder will be a key point of contact to the offices of the FIND team from a wide range of people both within and outside the organisation. It requires a high level of discretion and the ability to work unsupervised and to take the initiative. The role will require preparing for and attend team and external meetings, stakeholder meetings, various workshops and sessions, taking minutes and following up on actions. The post holder with need excellent IT literacy and an ability to work effectively, utilising Office 365 is necessary. The post involves coordinating office supplies, maintaining offices and assisting in the administration of resources. The post requires someone who is articulate, personable, motivated, methodical, well organised and able to work under pressure. The post requires someone who can be forward thinking in the approach to work, paying close attention to detail and with a proactivity while working in a fast- paced environment. The Hub provides telephone and electronic referral screening, prioritisation, signposting and onward routing across Kingston, Merton, Richmond, Sutton and Wandsworth. It does not provide face-to-face assessment, home visits or treatment. This is a Full Time, Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm role with the option of flexible working hours as our peak demand will be between 12-6pm. The post holder will provide day-to-day operational management of the Crisis Access Hub while also working clinically within the screening function. You will oversee safe staffing, demand, referral flow, escalation, performance and quality during shifts, while contributing directly to referral screening and pathway decision-making. You will monitor response to screening times daily, take action to support delivery of the 1-hour target, and use data, audit, incidents and feedback to drive improvement. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Data Manager / Research Assistant Psychologist for a Wellcome funded research study, SloMo2. SloMo is a digitally supported, cognitive-behavioural therapy for psychosis that improves fear of harm from others (or paranoia). The SloMo2 study is investigating if SloMo therapy can be delivered by real world clinicians, by conducting a clinical investigation of its implementation, effectiveness, and cost-effectiveness in three NHS Trusts. The postholder will join a friendly study team that is led Dr Amy Hardy. The post will be supervised by Dr Katie Taylor-Ryan, Study Coordinator and Dr Sarah Swan, Therapy Lead. The postholder will work alongside a lived experience researcher, and liaise with routine care psychological practitioners to facilitate data collection, promote uptake, and for provision of technical support. • To provide data management and reporting support for the SloMo2 study, ensuring data integrity and completeness. • To support research delivery in line with Good Clinical Practice through quantitative and qualitative data collection, safety monitoring, and Patient and Public Involvement. • To support SloMo as a therapy service through provision of technical support, liaison with therapists, and assistance to the Therapy Lead. • To contribute to team functioning and project management through effective communication, organisation, and use of supervision. South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust(SLaM) provide the widest range of NHS mental health services in the UK as well as substance misuse services for people who are addicted to drugs and alcohol. We work closely with the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN), King's College London and are part of King's Health Partners Academic Health Sciences Centre. There are very few organisations in the world that have such wide-ranging capabilities working with mental illness. Our scope is unique because it is built on three major foundations: care and treatment, science and research, and training. SLaM employ around 5000 staff and serve a local population of 1.1 million people. We have more than 230 services including inpatient wards, outpatient and community services. Currently, provide inpatient care for approximately 5,300 people each year and treat more than 45,000 patients in the community in Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark; as well as substance misuse services for residents of Bexley, Bromley and Greenwich. The postholder will be primarily responsible for managing and cleaning databases for the SloMo2 study, as well as producing reports for the team and regulatory bodies, as required. You will assist in the checking, cleaning, and quality maintenance of databases, working with the SloMo2 study team. Recruitment to SloMo2 commenced in October 2023 and has been successful to date, with plans to continue until March 2027. Therapy data collection will continue until September 2027. Tasks will include liaising with and assisting Research Assistant Psychologists and Therapy Leads with data entry, quality, and cleaning across the three study sites to prepare for the study ending. You should be enthusiastic about database management with relevant skills, and have a keen eye for detail. You will receive training in managing the existing study databases, and will be expected to develop processes to optimise data entry and management. You will be trained in Information Governance and have a good understanding of data integrity and confidentiality. The postholder will also assist in the running of the study in the South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, and there may be opportunities for therapy delivery dependent on previous experience. Tasks include liaison with multidisciplinary teams and therapists; study promotion; managing referrals; overseeing participant recruitment and informed consent procedures; data collection of quantitative (i.e. implementation, clinical, service use, technical and safety) and qualitative (i.e. service user experience of therapy) outcomes; and technical support. The postholder will join weekly group supervision with the Research Assistant Psychologists from other sites, regular line management supervision, and regular opportunities for reflection and learning with Lived Experience Researchers across sites. The postholder will be responsible for working in accordance with the National Institute of Health Research principles of Good Clinical Practice. The post will suit an individual with an interest in data management, psychosis, digital mental health, and/or implementation of psychological therapies.
