Account Manager Engineering The Opportunity: If you’re an experienced Key Account Manager within a highly regulated engineering environment then this is a fantastic opportunity for you! The Key Account Manager will oversee all orders and commercial business dealings with major customers across the world whilst developing relationships with those customers and internal stakeholders. The Role: - Managing the entire commercial relationship with one or two major key global OEMs within a highly regulated engineering environment. - Cradle to grave order processing: handling the initial enquiry and dealing with all associated written and verbal communication, working with the estimating team on the bid process and negotiating quotations, order processing over very technical products, and resolving all queries during production until the product is despatched and exported. - Working with corporate departments to ensure compliance for credit control, export licenses, HM Revenue and Customers and internal procedures. - Responsible for day-to-day communication with the customer relating to new and existing quotations, delivery commitments, cost reduction activities, timescales audits, testing compliance and certifications - Regular meeting reviews with customer via Teams and face to face, which may involve the occasional visit on site with customers. - Creating weekly expedite reports using Oracle and other MS Projects systems. - General associated administration on the client account including export control diligence and credit control procedures. Preferred Skills: - Previous experience of managing large OEM customer accounts/portfolios within a highly regulated engineering environment essential. - Degree education or equivalent experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment. - Experience of working in a technical environment, on a technical / mechanically engineered product. - Excellent organisational, communication and people skills along with drive and resourcefulness. - Capable of working under pressure to achieve set targets, strong time management skills. Communication & Relationship Skills The post-holder will be required to provide and receive highly complex, sensitive and contentious information relevant to financial matters. The post-holder will be required to advise the Head of Finance - Operational, Associate Director of Financial Management, Deputy Chief Finance Officer and Chief Finance Officer, Trust Directors and Senior Managers on financial issues and as necessary pointing them to a course of action. Planning & Organisation The post-holder will provide comprehensive and high level senior finance support and advice to Senior Managers, Directors, Clinical Directors, Directorate Managers, Senior Budget Holders, working with the Management Accountants to ensure consistent and quality advice is given. The role will involve making judgements on financial issues, often where an element of risk exists and there are a number of options, sometimes conflicting. The post-holder will be required to contribute to the Trusts financial strategy, in particular advising on service level plans to meet the overall service objective of the organisation. As appropriate attend corporate and service level performance meetings as a representative of the finance function. The post-holder will play a key role in linking the Commissioning function of the Trust to the overall financial position and will support and advice on highly complex issues linked to Local and National policy initiatives. Communication of these issues may involve making formal presentations to senior managers and clinicians. The post-holder will be required to play a lead role in overseeing the collation and finalisation of the information for the financial position for the Trust for Board sign off each month. The post-holder will be required to liaise with Senior Managers on a routine basis to identify possible corrective action on budgets in deficit, and will work with Senior Managers to examine methods of maintaining a balanced financial position.
