We have seven Elekta linear accelerators all with cone beam imaging capability and are currently installing the first Elekta Harmony in the UK with the second to follow in the Summer. We also have two Phillips BORE CT scanners and an Xstrahl Superficial Unit networked by a MOSAIQ patient management system. We have Surface Guided Radiotherapy Equipment installed on 6 Linacs and are fully rolled out to all breast and Thorax patients with a plan to use this technology for all patients by the end of this year. We employ a wide range of techniques including IGRT, IMRT, VMAT, SRS/T and SABR. You will rotate through pre-treatment and treatment delivery allowing you to practice in all aspects of external beam radiotherapy localisation, planning, data prep, treatment delivery and imaging. As an experienced radiographer you will have the opportunity to develop others by becoming a student mentor, preceptor for newly qualified staff and/ or supporting more junior staff. The Radiotherapy department has successfully integrated role extension into its culture and has implemented Advanced Clinical Practitioner and Consultant Practitioner roles in Therapeutic Radiography.     We are seeking a Specialty Doctor to join our forward thinking and friendly Dermatology team.The post is based in the purpose-built Dermatology Outpatient and Treatment Centre, at Chorley District Hospital, where all Dermatology clinics are held. Provision of a specialised Dermatology Service to the local population supported by experienced Medical, Specialist Nurse, and Nursing colleagues and of a comprehensive service utilising our full range of diagnostic and therapeutic facilities and as much of the service locally as possible, minimising inconvenience to patients and ensuring ease of access. The Dermatology Unit has excellent links with the Plastic Surgery Department, situated within the Trust and is the hub of the Lancashire Cancer Network and is the central base for local Plastic surgeons, with whom Dermatology has developed close working relationships with and hosts the specialist skin MDT meeting. The Trust provides a comprehensive range of outpatient Dermatology Services at Chorley and South Ribble Hospital, in our purpose-built Dermatology Outpatient and Treatment Centre opened in April 2003. The Centre is well-equipped with consulting suites, treatment rooms, theatres, office space, narrow-band UVB and UVA cabinets, hand and foot PUVA machine, and patch test facilities. To have management responsibility and accountability for the non-medical staff in the delivery and performance for the Children’s Neurodisability teams (ASD and ADHD) and Children’s Community Nursing Services, which include the Children’s Community Nursing Team, Children’s Continence Service, and Children’s Epilepsy Nursing Team, Looked After Children’s Nursing Team, Children’s Training Team, Home Based Support Team and Children’s Diabetes Nursing Team The Matron for Community Services will work with the Lead Nurse Family Care Division and, Matron for Acute Paediatric services. Head of Practice and Professional Development and Head of Quality Governance to promote and ensure the highest standards of care within the services and the wider care unit. It’s an exciting time to join our team as we invest in new leadership roles within our paediatrics structure to strengthen support to our clinical teams and enable excellent clinical outcomes and outstanding patient and staff experience. As an experienced clinical leader, you will work with the Lead Nurse for Child Health to lead the community teams ensuring that children and young people and their families receive compassionate and high quality care. As Matron, you will provide professional leadership and direction for the Community Nursing Services , ensuring the highest standards of clinical care. Key to this role will be to provide an accessible and visible presence across paediatric services, advising staff, children and young people and their families. You will need to demonstrate highly developed leadership behaviours and be a role model for our values, inclusion, staff engagement and supporting our teams. Dealing with all incidents and any complaints relating to community services and managed in line with the trusts policies.
