Out of normal working hours the Estates Shift Team has sole responsibility for ensuring that all departments essential services are maintained at all times, or an Estates Manager informed. These services include: Electricity, Steam, Heating and Domestic Hot and Cold water, Piped Medical Gas and Vacuum, Air Conditioning and Drainage. The Estates Shift Team also provides a 24-hour emergency response to any incident and carries out duties of all trades, including: Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Joinery and building. This is an Emergency Medicine Consultant post to join the current Consultant body at The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (THH) in providing acute and emergency services to a busy local acute hospital with a comprehensive and diverse range of medical and surgical services. The post holder will play a key role in realising our ambition to build a high quality clinical service. The successful applicant will be a committed clinician with a track record of excellent clinical service delivery, quality improvement, teaching and training. It is a requirement of the post that every doctor takes part in annual job planning and annual appraisal as part of the revalidation of cycle. The post-holder will report to the Clinical Lead of Emergency Medicine and be responsible to the Divisional Director for Unplanned Care at The Hillingdon Hospital. The job plan will be negotiated annually. There is a 10 PA and 9 PA post available. A full 10 PA post will comprise of 8.5 direct clinical care (DCC), 1.5 supporting professional activities (SPA), the latter includes clinical and educational supervision, audit and personal CPD. The 9 PA post will be adjusted accordingly pro rata. In line with the job planning policy, 1.5 SPA will be paid to all consultants’ core SPA activities (including appraisal, CPD). A further 1 SPA is available for identified activities required by the department/hospital which will be agreed as part of job planning. Personal CPD must be included as part of annual appraisal which is mandatory and required for the revalidation process. The post holder will, together with his or her consultant colleagues and other health care professionals in the Directorate, provide an effective and comprehensive service for Emergency department and support continuing service developments. The ICT Department is responsible for the continued development and support of the ICT infrastructures for over 10,000 users across 100+ sites. Based at Blackpool Stadium, you will work with a wide range of hardware and software technologies. UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle are essential for this post. The primary function of this role will be to provide technical ICT support to Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and other supported organisations. You will analyse, investigate and resolve a wide range of varying and new types of complex ICT issues and problems, including all ICT systems, PC desktop/laptop, mobile devices, printers, cabling, installation and maintenance of associated software and peripheral devices and this will also include involvement with data communications networks. You will be expected to work as part of an integrated ICT team but also be capable of unsupervised working.
