    The Department of Immunology at Addenbrookes Hospital Cambridge seeks an HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist. This 12 month fixed term, full time post is in our busy and progressive UKAS 15189 accredited Immunology laboratory. We provide an extensive specialist repertoire alongside a routine autoimmune serology, allergy and myeloma service to local, regional and international centres. Working as part of our experienced scientific team in analysis of patient samples, you will be expected to take part in the shift system covering Monday – Saturday 08:00 – 18:00. You will be a state registered Biomedical/Healthcare Scientist with experience in an NHS diagnostic laboratory. Critical Care Outreach Service is a team of experienced nurses who support all healthcare professionals in the assessment and management of unwell children across the children’s hospital, emergency department, and neonatal unit, following up and supporting children and families following discharge. Education, Development and Training is provided through a structured competency-based development programme, and we are piloting an inhouse PCC L3 specialist course for nursing staff. They will also be expected to take part in management of staff on shift, development of staff and also would be expected to be an exemplar of good clinical practice within ED.
