Working in partnership with the Maternity/ perinatal Directorate, Family Health Care Group and Corporate Leadership team, the Deputy Director of Midwifery will lead the delivery of efficient, effective and high quality processes and systems to provide assurance and ensure compliance with regulatory and NHS obligations, ensuring through maternity leadership and corporate functions, and in liaison with other key professionals that activities and work plans within care groups and the overall Trust are aligned to meet these requirements. This post will involve working in outpatient clinics providing both rapid access, admission avoidance clinics for the frail population of Hillingdon and general elderly medicine clinics. The current set up of this post is for 2 full days of clinics and SPA worked flexibly so will suit someone looking for less than full time or flexible working. Our Rapid Access Clinics for the Elderly (RACE) run up to 5 times a week providing rapid assessments of community dwelling frail patients referred by their GP and also follow up for patients seen by our service on the wards or in our Acute Frailty Unit supporting ED. General clinics serve a wide range of presentations in over 65’s where a holistic approach to care is required. We have recently expanded our acute frailty provision and provide 7 day a week frailty SDEC services. Joining our Hillingdon Team provides a unique opportunity for joint working across boundaries as we are an established stakeholder in Hillingdon Health and Care Partners (HHCP). The partners are the Acute Trust, Central and North West London Foundation Trust (who provide community and mental health services), Hillingdon GP confederation and the Voluntary Sector (H4All) who work closely with the local authority and Brunel University. This is in line with North West London integrated care system (ICS) to provide outcome based care. We are further developing specialist services provided by all four partners in HHCP especially in admission prevention, falls, fracture liaison service, early supported discharge, care home liaison with a new focus on increased community support. We are seeking a Cardiographer to join our busy team. Cross-site working is a requirement. Cardiographers are vital to the work in Cardiology Investigations Department, working alongside Cardiac Physiologists, performing ECG’s (recording of the heart rhythm), fitting 24hr heart rhythm and blood pressure monitors and 7 day monitors on outpatients and on the wards, and assisting with exercise tests. Cardiographers also provide administrative support to our admin team. Experience of working with computers is an advantage. The cancer pharmacy team consists of specialist cancer pharmacists and technicians that work for the Cancer Division and is fully integrated within the Division to provide clinical pharmacy services to patients. The team also collaborates closely with the UCLH Pharmacy Department to ensure pharmacy standards are maintained. UCLH is one of Europe’s largest centres for blood disorder treatment and HSCT, and the chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell team manages patients with both cancer and non-cancer indications. The cancer pharmacy team are well integrated into the HSCT and CAR-T teams and they collaborate to deliver person-centred care alongside the multidisciplinary team. The UCLH Macmillan Cancer Centre (MCC) opened in 2012 and encompasses our busy outpatient clinics and daycare facilities, as well as our growing ambulatory chemotherapy practice. The MCC also provides chemotherapy production services in a modern facility. The UCLH Grafton Way Building (GWB) opened in 2022 and supports our expanding haematology service, which include HSCT and CAR-T therapy.
