The post holder will undertake the various requirements of the ‘Fire safety Advisor’ role as stated in HTM 05-01 including fire risk assessment, fire training and supporting capital projects. The post holder will be part of a wider team, reporting to the Group Deputy Director for Fire who will provide support and expertise as the ‘Senior Fire Safety Advisor’ as stated in HTM05-01. Nottingham Urology Centre has delivered a high volume robotic prostatectomy service since 2014. This is an additional post to join two experienced subspecialist existing consultants (Mr BT Sherwood and Mr TJ Walton) currently providing prostate cancer services. The unit receives referrals from the wider Nottinghamshire area and tertiary referrals from further afield and may require cross-site working patterns with Sherwood Forest Hospitals. As the successful applicant, you will be supported by a team of highly experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Specialists and Robotic Surgical First Assistants. You will undertake subspecialist outpatient clinics and have oversight of nurse-led diagnostic elements of the cancer pathways, including local anaesthetic template biopsies (LATP), flexible cystoscopies, and nurse-led follow-up clinics for post-operative and active surveillance patients. You will have an active role in undergraduate and postgraduate training. Robotic surgery will be performed on the dedicated Da VinciTMX robot located within the urology theatre suite; one of three systems in the trust. We are looking for a Senior Staff Nurse at Band 6 level to join an enthusiastic and motivated T08 Team who are taking on a new and exciting challenge. T08 is a busy 43-bedded acute medical ward with a diverse mix of acuity and complexity of patients. It specialises in Infectious Diseases, Respiratory Medicine and Rheumatology. T08 ward is led by two Ward Sister’s and 4 Deputies. Staff work across the whole floor and across all specialities. There are two sides to the ward; the north side is predominately bay beds and the south side consists predominantly of side rooms. The T08 side rooms are Negative Pressure therefore we care for patients with a range of infections including TB, potential VHF and infections in returning travellers, and additionally provides the inpatient service to the Hospital for Tropical Diseases. Within the Respiratory bed base T08 cares for patients who have an acute respiratory condition and may require Non-Invasive Ventilation and those who have Tracheostomies. T08 prides itself on a strong and supportive Multi-disciplinary Team and staff have the opportunity to work with specialist Consultants and Specialist Nurses who are leading experts in their fields. You will also be expected to join the 7-day, urgent community response rota on a rolling basis which will cover the 5 care communities. This is a permanent post. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and flexible physiotherapist to join our friendly, supportive and dynamic team in the SMASH Care Community within CCICP. We provide a rapid, unplanned and planned response, we facilitate early discharge from hospital and aim to reduce hospital admissions. We also cover discharge to assess beds. There is a varied caseload and you will need to demonstrate knowledge, experience and relevant clinical skills with patients with complex / long term conditions, falls, orthopaedics, general mobility problems and neurological conditions. The successful candidate will work as a member of our integrated multidisciplinary team alongside District Nurses, Advance Nurse Practitioners, Complex Case Practitioners, MacMillan Nurses and will be responsible for supervising junior members of staff, apprentices and students. There will be associated administrative duties and you will need to be computer literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft packages and have accurate keyboard skills. Our team utilises digital technology to support remote working and accommodate a flexible working approach where possible and is supported to do this with access to a laptop and mobile phone.
