Band 6 Radiographer X-ray (Bolsover Street). Part time position. Must have a minimum of 2 years NHS experience. We are looking for a flexible and enthusiastic HCPC registered radiographer with good general X-ray experience to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will rotate between the two sites (Bolsover Street and Stanmore ) with the main site being Bolsover street. The Bolsover street X-ray department has 2 general x-ray rooms. The Stanmore site has 3 general x-ray rooms, 1 fluoroscopy unit , 5 portable ward machines and a DXA scanner. There are 15 theatres along with image intensifiers, there are also O-Arm and Cios Spin machines. We have also acquired EOS and HiRise Ped CT scanners. The Bolsover street X-ray department opens Monday to Friday 8am to 6.30 pm. This post includes lone working once the probation period has been completed. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious general radiographer to gain experience in specialised orthopaedic imaging The post holder will work across all areas of the X-ray department, the main site will be Bolsover street with occasional working on the Stanmore site. Bolsover street has Outpatient x-ray only and Stanmore includes theatres, fluoroscopy, out-patients /in-patient main x-ray and the DXA unit. You will be expected to provide high quality diagnostic images whilst ensuring patient care and safety is paramount. You will work closely with other members of the team including radiologists, radiographers and clinical support workers and will be expected to be a senior presence within the department and involved in the teaching of students and more junior members of staff. You will be an integral part of the smooth running of the imaging service and communicate effectively with a wide range of staff and patient groups. You will be expected to manage your workload effectively, applying knowledge and skill to produce high quality images and adapt techniques to meet complex patient requirements. The post holder will: • Be based at Nottingham Children’s Hospital, working collaboratively within the multi‑professional paediatric nutrition team to deliver advanced nursing care to children and young people. • Act as a strong and visible clinical leader, easily identifiable and accessible to patients, families, and staff, providing expert guidance and support. • Provide leadership within the Children and Young People’s Nutrition Team, taking responsibility for appraisals, professional development, supervision, and ensuring compliance with mandatory training. • Oversee the day‑to‑day operational managementof the service, working as an integral part of the PGHAN (Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition) team. • Work alongside the consultant PGHAN teamto contribute to the strategic development, commissioning, and strengthening of clinical networks for paediatric nutrition. • Collaborate with the wider nutrition MDT and nurse educatorsto support the development of Trust‑wide policy and best practice in nutrition. This includes building strong relationships with ward‑based nutrition link nurses and leading audit activity to evaluate and improve current practice. • Promote and advance patient‑centred care, ensuring a collaborative and holistic approach with all members of the multidisciplinary team. • Manage an allocated caseload, providing specialist assessment, planning, and ongoing review of children with complex nutritional needs. • Play a key role in service development, offering education, advice, and support to patients, families, and professionals involved in the care of children requiring complex nutrition, including parenteral nutrition (PN). • Exercise a high level of autonomy and clinical decision‑making, demonstrating advanced practice skills within the specialty. Applications are invited for a full-time Locum Consultant Plastic Surgeon with principal responsibilities in adult and paediatric burns and reconstructive plastic surgery at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. The anticipated start is late September or October 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter. The role is offered on a 12 months fixed term basis. The post holder will join the established burns team and contribute to acute burns care, burns reconstruction, outpatient and multidisciplinary care, and the emergency Plastic Surgery service across Nottingham City Hospital and Queen's Medical Centre (QMC). The indicative programme includes flexible specialist-interest capacity. Depending on the appointed candidate's expertise and service requirements, this may be used for orthoplastics, hand surgery, skin cancer, breast reconstruction or another agreed area of specialist interest. The post holder will join the current Plastic Surgery consultant team, participate in the Plastic Surgery on-call and hot-week arrangements, and provide reciprocal consultant cross-cover.
