    Applications are invited for the post of MDT Co-ordinator within the Cancer Information Department at St Helens & Knowsley Hospitals Trust. This is a full time post working Monday to Friday. Part time hours will be considered This is a pivotal role and is required to support multidisciplinary teams and coordinate the pathway for patients with cancer. You will be key to ensuring that cancer standards are met by proactively managing the patient pathway to ensure that patients receive their treatment in a timely and efficient way. In addition, you may be required to liaise with other outside agencies. • To ensure accurate entry of data to the Somerset Cancer Register allowing data transfer on agreed deadlines and in accordance with National data submissions. CLINICAL & PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Responsible for ensuring that all cancer data/information is stored and transmitted in a format, which adheres to all aspects of the Caldicott guidelines. • Due to the sensitive nature of cancer information, ensure that the system, recording processes and MDT processes fulfil both Information Governance and Data Protection requirements/rules. ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES • Regularly review procedures to ensure working processes are fit for purpose. Investigate and take appropriate action where pathways are incomplete to ensure that patients are treated in clinical priority and breach date order and that reporting on performance and waiting times is robust. • Escalate pathway issues if required to the Patient Pathway Team Leader and Assistant Service Manager. • Book in clinical priority and breach date order, whilst monitoring the 18 week / Cancer PTLs or screening list to ensure any late additions are identified and processed appropriately. In doing so, take the necessary steps to avoid target breaches and resolve any issues i.e. 28 day theatre cancellations. • Recognise when patients are on cancer care pathways and proactively link with the MDT Coordinator and MDT Tracker to ensure these patients are actively managed through their diagnosis and treatment. • Ensure Trust systems are updated with patient pathway status information and that data quality is maintained. • Liaise with internal and external colleagues to share patient pathway information and diagnostic information, and expedite patient journeys where needed. • Ensure inter-provider transfers are timely and that the appropriate paperwork has been completed and sent or received. • Liaise with clinical coders to ensure patient notes are available so that all patient episodes are coded accurately and promptly. • Co-ordinate appointments and procedures at others hospitals and organisations, where the pathway requires input from these. • Ensure accurate information is added to EPR / Infoflex and other internal and external IT systems and databases, as required. • Liaise with external commissioners if required Patient Pathway • Actively review patient DNAs, liaising with the appropriate clinical staff and reschedule patient appointments in line with agreed local processes. • Raising clinic capacity issue to management via the Patient Pathway Team Leader and ASM • Adding additional list capacity on EPR as directed by management. • Book patients as required. All new starters are supported with induction and preceptorship providing radiographers the opportunity to undertake a structured program of self-development in all aspects of the x-ray including audit, equipment and techniques. This is actively supported by in-house run CPD sessions and the opportunity to attend external training/learning events. Successful candidates, as UHD Radiographers, will be based at Bournemouth Hospital with rotation if required to Christchurch and Poole Hospitals. There is an expectation for successful candidates to be competent and participate in all general X-ray imaging, fluoroscopy, theatre imaging & dental radiography. Furthermore successful candidates will be expected to participate in the 24/7 out of hours X-ray services. All Band 5 Radiographers are encouraged to extend and develop their clinical skills and knowledge. We are committed to role extension, with the department training Radiographers in Plain image Reporting, Fluoroscopy procedures and Ultrasound.     An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Fellow (ST3+ or equivalent) to join our Urology Department at our busy University Hospital Urology Department. The successful applicant will be employed as a Clinical Fellow and will work at or above the level of an ST3 SpR in Urology. The post is based at Bournemouth Hospital, and is suitable for candidates who ideally will already have experience in Urology and would like to build on their experience . As well as normal clinical activities, there are multiple opportunities for delivering teaching and education, with an onsite education centre driving education for FY1, Core trainees and medical students. There is a weekly Grand Round. There are Urology Consultants with an interest in research with on-going projects and trial participation. We have links with Bournemouth University that provide management and leadership courses for development. The appointee will participate in a 1 in 8 on-call rota for Urology, fully supported by a Urology Consultant of the Week. This includes non-resident night cover. Elective training outside of on-call commitments will include a mixture of day case and major surgery lists, supervised outpatient clinics, and diagnostic sessions for flexi-cystoscopy, precision point prostate biopsy and urodynamics.
