The Role This position is ideal for a Veterinary Surgeon with previous ECC or hospital experience who is comfortable working in a sole charge capacity overnight. The Night Veterinary Surgeon will play a key role in caring for hospitalised inpatients and managing out-of-hours emergency and critical care cases, supported throughout each shift by a skilled and experienced nursing team. The rota offers an excellent work-life balance, typically consisting of: • 7 nights on • 14 nights off This provides plenty of time to enjoy personal pursuits while maintaining exposure to a varied and rewarding caseload. The hospital is fully equipped to deliver gold-standard veterinary care and offers excellent opportunities for ongoing clinical progression and development. Facilities include: • CT scanner • Doppler echocardiography • Flexible and rigid endoscopy • Digital radiography suites • Ultrasound scanners • Dental radiography • Electrocautery • Laparoscopy equipment • Advanced anaesthesia facilities The successful candidate will also benefit from the extensive knowledge, support, and expertise available across the wider veterinary group.
