Roadworkers – Plymouth –£13.00 per hour + overtime at overtime rates As a Roadworker you will be required to carry out, as part of a team, a wide range of road maintenance and construction activities which may include but is not limited to kerbing, slabbing & tarmaccing including the operation of power tools, small plant and machinery. This role could include winter maintenance. You will also need to have responsibility for the health and safety of the public, colleagues and yourself, participate in emergency rosters if required by management and prepare written returns including fault report details as required. A Streetworks certificate would be advantageous, as would a valid CSCS card. This is a great role with a 40 basic hour week at an excellent hourly rate of £13.00, with overtime paid at 150% for hours over 40, overtime also paid Saturday at 150% and 200% on Sundays and Bank Holidays. This role is working with an experienced team to care for the plants and create beautiful retail displays- this role is very physical and will require you to be on your feet. Full training will be provided by our experienced managers and head office. Working hours are based on approx 7am / 8am start to 4pm / 6pm finish but hours may vary with time of year and needs of the business. Holiday is up to 28 days per year paid on a pro rata basis subject to hours worked. The role is fairly physical and requires lifting / carrying / etc and can be both indoor / outdoor. Our company offers full training programs leading to potential management / supervisory roles in our stores / departments. Our company has a proven, successful system for promoting staff from within our ranks over a three to six month period to higher paid roles within the company.
