An outstanding new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Dual Registered Manager for two children’s homes based in the Camden area in London. You will join a provider with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality care and achieving positive outcomes for children and young people This is a fantastic care provider dedicated to supporting children and young people aged 9–17 who have complex emotional and behavioural needs, providing a safe and supportive environment As the Manager your key responsibilities include: • Responsible for delivering high-quality, safe and nurturing care across both children’s homes • Hold overall accountability for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children, overseeing day-to-day operations, leading staff practice and driving continuous improvement in line with company standards, ethos and the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 • Provide strong leadership, ensuring care is child-centred and focused on achieving the best outcomes for children • Maintaining robust safeguarding systems, safe and effective staffing arrangements, clear risk assessments and effective multi-agency working • Ensure each child’s individual vulnerabilities, behaviours and support needs are understood and responded to consistently • Supervise and mentor staff, organise work patterns and deliver care-focused training • Ensure care plans, safeguarding procedures and support services are implemented effectively The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role: • Strong knowledge of childcare and safeguarding legislation, including the Children Act 1989, Care Standards Act 2000, Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards • The ability to lead safeguarding practice, manage risk, respond effectively to incidents and ensure the homes protect and promote the welfare of children at all times • 2–3 years of management experience, including experience of leading and developing staff teams • Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead with confidence, professionalism and resilience • A strong commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for children and young people **To be considered for this position you must hold a Leadership and Management qualification, or willingness to work towards one, together with NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People** The successful Dual Registered Manager will receive an excellent salary of £55,120 - £68,320 per annum DOE - Pay frequency is monthly. This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 40 hours a week. An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for an experienced Children's Home Registered Manager to open, establish and lead a small sized children’s home located in Lewisham, South East London area This will be an Ofsted-regulated children’s home providing high-quality care, safeguarding, and support for young people with SEND, emotional, behavioural, and complex needs **To be considered for this position you must hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare + Minimum 3 years’ experience in a residential childcare setting with 2+ years at supervisory/Deputy/management level** As the Manager your key responsibilities include: • Provide confident, trauma-informed leadership to staff team and young people • Create a safe and supportive environment that promotes emotional, social and educational development for each child • Recruit, induct and retain a high-quality staff team with the necessary skills and values for working with vulnerable children • Oversee staffing, training, supervisions, appraisals and professional development • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and emotional resilience • Lead the home’s strategic planning, setting objectives and measurable outcomes in line with organisational and regulatory expectations • Maintain an up-to-date Statement of Purpose and ensure all operations reflect its aims and values • Ensure full compliance with Ofsted and the Children’s Homes Regulations • Lead safeguarding efforts as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) including response to disclosures, incidents and concerns in line with Working together to Safeguard Children and in line with local authority safeguarding partnership procedures • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and emotional resilience • Manage budgets, audits, inspections, and operational processes • Build effective partnerships with families, professionals, and external agencies The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role: • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Children’s Home Regulations and therapeutic care • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills • Experience supporting children with trauma, challenging behaviour, and complex needs • Full UK driving licence is desirable • Flexibility to be part of the on-call rota (some evenings/weekends) • Knowledge of SEND and multi-agency working The successful Manager will receive an excellent salary of £68,000 - £70,000 per annum - Pay frequency is monthly. This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 40 hours a week on days.
