Site Manager (Project Lead) | Cut & Carve & Structural Alterations Location: City of London Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum Job Type: Permanent Start Date: Immediate A leading specialist subcontractor is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to take ownership of complex cut & carve, structural alteration and heavy refurbishment projects across the City of London . This is not a traditional Site Manager position. The successful candidate will operate as the number one on site, taking responsibility for overall project delivery whilst managing the programme, subcontractors, client relationships, logistics, health & safety and quality throughout the construction process. The business is a recognised specialist in structural alterations, demolition, temporary works, steel installations, reinforced concrete works and complex refurbishment schemes, delivering projects for many of London's leading contractors. The Role As the lead site-based representative, you will be responsible for driving projects from commencement through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities Taking overall responsibility for site delivery. Managing all subcontractors and specialist trades on site. Coordinating structural alterations, demolition and temporary works activities. Managing project programmes and sequencing of works. Chairing site meetings and liaising with clients, consultants and main contractors. Identifying and resolving technical and logistical challenges. Maintaining health & safety compliance across site. Managing project reporting and progress updates. Ensuring quality standards are achieved throughout the project lifecycle. Driving projects to completion within programme requirements. Requirements Previous experience delivering cut & carve, structural alteration or major refurbishment projects. Experience operating as the lead manager on site. Strong understanding of demolition, temporary works, steelwork and structural modifications. Experience working within constrained Central London environments.
