    Construction Teacher - Leyton, East LondonASAP Start | £160 per Day | Long-Term | Secondary SEMH School Remedy Education are currently recruiting for an experienced Construction Teacher to join a supportive secondary SEMH school based in Leyton, East London. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in Construction who enjoys working with young people and wants to use their industry experience to help students develop practical skills, confidence and qualifications. The school supports students who may have struggled in mainstream education and provides a smaller, more personalised environment where relationships, behaviour and engagement are just as important as academic progress. The successful Construction Teacher will be responsible for: - Delivering engaging and practical Construction lessons to secondary-aged students. - Teaching vocational Construction skills and supporting students working towards relevant qualifications. - Planning and adapting lessons to meet a range of abilities and learning needs. - Providing practical, hands-on learning opportunities. - Supporting students to develop their confidence, independence and employability skills. - Building positive and professional relationships with students. - Managing behaviour calmly and consistently. - Encouraging students who may have previously struggled to engage with education. - Working closely with the wider teaching, pastoral and support team. - Supporting students to achieve positive academic and personal outcomes. Previous experience working within an SEMH school, PRU, AP or SEN setting would be highly desirable, although candidates with strong mainstream or vocational teaching experience will also be considered. This is a specialist secondary SEMH setting in Leyton, working with young people who need a more structured and personalised approach to education. The school places a strong emphasis on relationships, behaviour, emotional development and re-engaging students with learning.
