The role Reporting to Environmental Services and Transport Manager you will be expected to deliver a consistently high-quality bulk and void property clearance services. You will be provided with tools and machinery to help you undertake your tasks and we will supply you with a new uniform, safety boots and personal protective equipment. You will need to have the ability to work outside in all weathers and be able to undertake physically demanding work. The location You will be based at one of our office locations. What you’ll be doing: • In accordance with our schedules, frequencies, and standards, to drive to our estates and collect non-domestic refuse in an efficient and environmentally friendly manner. • When requested, to attend to void properties and clear these. • Carry out collections in a neat and tidy manner ensuring spillages are cleaned up whilst you are onsite. • Maintain a safe and secure environment by working in line with our health and safety standards. • Working proactively with customers, manging expectations, to ensure that they can have a positive view of their environment and landlord offering basic advice when requested. • Proactively supporting team members to deliver seamless services in line with the Corporate Strategy • Keeping a record of what is collected and from where so that your services can be recharged accurately and transparently to residents. • Noting hotspot refuse typing areas and working with the team on a strategy to reduce the waste. • Assist the team when needed with other tasks such as jet washing bin stores • Report any repairs or defects in communal areas to maintenance department/ line manager and follow up actions as required i.e. monitoring the issue ensuring that action is taken to complete the repair within our stated timescales; where this is not the case escalate the matter to your line manager • No role profile can cover every issue which may arise within the post at various times and the postholder is expected to carry out other duties from time to time, which are broadly consistent with those described. Social Worker Band 6, 37.5hours per week 12m FTC Maternity cover role The role is to provide social work expertise to the multidisciplinary assessment of families and parents referred to the service. Rapid initial and then ongoing assessment of parents, their willingness and capacity to engage in therapeutic work, alongside assessment of parenting capacity – the safety of the children being paramount. The post holder will contribute to the multidisciplinary formulation of an intervention plan and work with team members to mobilise and co-ordinate existing local authority, NHS and independent sector resources to meet the needs of the care plan and provide where appropriate evidence based nursing interventions in community based settings. The social worker role will take a lead on issues of safeguarding children and risk assessment of parenting capacity. The post holder will take a lead on providing professional advice and development in relation to substance misuse within the FDAC team, develop clear pathways of care and support for families referred to the service in order to promote and improve the well-being of parents, children and young people. The post holder will be required to present reports in an authoritative manner in Court on a very regular basis, and other Multidisciplinary and Multi-agency settings work with autonomy but equally closely with FDAC colleagues. The post holder will be expected to contribute to and take part in of the evaluation of the service. THE FAMILY DRUG AND ALCOHOL COURT TEAM A Family Drug and Alcohol Court is an innovative approach to the problem of parental substance misuse (drugs or alcohol) which is having a negative impact on parenting capacity. The FDAC is based on a model now being widely used across the USA, which is an exciting way of trying to break the destructive cycle of substance misuse through generations. The London FDAC has been running since 2008 and now serves 14 Local Authorities across 4 Family Courts. Independent research suggest that this model is successful in getting parents to engage with and stay in substance misuse services leading to more children being able to return home. Where parents do not engage and children cannot return home, quicker decisions are made about permanent placements for them. The model is of a specialist court operating within the framework of care proceedings. The specialist FDAC team (which includes substance misuse practitioners, children and family social workers and child and adult mental health expertise) will be attached to the 4 courts we serve in Central, South, West and East London. It will advise the court and link the parents into relevant local services. The emphasis is on working with the parent and child, not just assessing them. Please JD & PS document for further details. The Public Sector Fraud Authority (PSFA) is responsible for holding departments and arms-length bodies to account for their handling of fraud in the public sector. The PSFA is at the centre of government and leads work across government and public bodies to improve the prevention, detection and recovery of fraud. It was launched on the 3rd August 2022 following an increased focus in government on tackling fraud. The PSFA is outcome and performance driven, offers a depth and breadth of expertise and works jointly with HM Treasury. Working in the PSFA offers access to a wide range of stakeholders across government and the opportunity to work with various sectors in a high-profile policy area with high media, parliamentary and ministerial interest. The Public Authorities Fraud Investigation and Enforcement Service (PAFIES) is the PSFA team dedicated to taking action against fraud occurring in any central government department or public authority. We assess intelligence and disseminate it for action, develop cases, and undertake fraud investigations to the civil and criminal standards. We use Proceeds of Crime Act powers, and will have access to Police and Criminal Evidence Act search and production powers, Investigatory Powers Act telecoms data powers, and bespoke information gathering and civil penalty powers as legislated for in the Public Authorities (Fraud, Error & Recovery) Act 2025 (PAFER). This is an exciting time to be a part of something entirely new in government, and make a real difference in the fight against fraud. We are seeking motivated project deliverers to help land the implementation of the Public Authorities (Fraud, Error and Recovery) Act 2025 as part of the PAFIES Operational Policy team. The Act provides law enforcement powers for PAFIESt to tackle fraud against the UK central government public authorities in England and Wales, including the ‘COVID Hit Squad’ announced by the Chancellor of the Exchequer in September 2025. The implementation programme to operationalise the Act is now in full swing. The post holders will lead on development and implementation of a range of projects, covering key areas of the Act’s powers and functions, and Enforcement and Intelligence practice.
