Senior Clinical Fellow (ST6) in Haematology Early Phase Clinical Trials NIHR UCLH Clinical Research Facility Applications are invited for a Clinical Fellow (ST6) in Haematology Early Phase Clinical Trials from 1 February 2027. The aim of this position is to offer comprehensive specialist training in all aspects of running early phase haematology clinical trials including protocol development, regulatory procedures, associated translational research projects and presentation of research at meetings. Cancer is a major strategic area of UCLH and UCL with a focus on developing novel pathway-directed therapies. There is an excellent infrastructure allowing clinical trials to be linked with basic science, facilitating targeting of specific molecular abnormalities in cancers with therapeutics. UCL is both an Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre and a Cancer Research UK Centre, and the NIHR UCLH Clinical Research Facility (http://www.uclhospitals.brc.nihr.ac.uk/crf/national-institute-health-researchwellcome-uclh-clinical-research-facility) is supported by the NIHR and Cancer Research UK. There are close links between the CRF and the UCL Cancer Institute (http://www.ucl.ac.uk/cancer/) providing excellent opportunities for translational research projects linked to drug development. This full-time, fixed-term post will be for a period of 12 months from 1 February 2027. Full GMC Registration is essential and possession of MRCP or equivalent is necessary. Specialist training in haematology or oncology and competency in prescribing chemotherapy is required, experience in clinical trial work is desirable.     Personal Assistant – Supporting an 18-Year-Old Man Ref: HWES1690 Location: Crowborough Details This role is to support a Man Drivers licence required: Yes Own vehicle needed: Yes Employment status: Employed Hours per week: 4 hours per week Hourly pay rate: £12.71 p/h - Our customer is an 18-year-old man who requires a PA to support him in building confidence, developing independence and becoming more comfortable doing things away from his parents. The aim is to provide encouragement and companionship in a relaxed and supportive way, helping him to feel more confident in the community and develop his independence. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference by supporting a young person to build confidence, develop independence and feel more comfortable experiencing life outside of the family home. If you are patient, positive, understanding and enjoys building genuine connections with people, we would love to hear from you. - Duties include: - Transportation - Companionship - Supporting him to access the community and take part in activities that he enjoys. - Providing encouragement to help build his confidence and independence. - Supporting him to become more comfortable spending time away from his parents. - Building a positive, trusting and professional relationship with him. - Encouraging communication and social interaction in a relaxed and enjoyable way. - Helping him try new activities and experiences at his own pace. - Providing companionship, reassurance and emotional support when needed. Candidate qualities: - Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality - Reliable with good timekeeping - Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative - Hygienic, tidy and well organised - Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills - Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard - Must be comfortable with pets - The ideal candidate will be understanding, empathetic and patient, with the ability to build rapport and develop a strong, supportive relationship. A good sense of humour and the ability to have a laugh and enjoy conversations together would be important. Additionally, someone who is comfortable around dogs and happy to have pets as part of the environment would be ideal. - An understanding of Autism and ADHD would be beneficial, along with a calm and encouraging approach. The successful candidate should be reliable, trustworthy and able to recognise when support is needed while always promoting independence.
