This is a post in abusytertiary unit serving a diverse and complex population and will beavailable from October 2025. This post is mainly research based, with projects focussing on early pregnancy, and gynaecological ultrasonography. Clinically they will also aid the unit as part of theon callrota at registrar level (depending on individual clinical experience). The early pregnancy unit is nationally and internationallyknown, andsees over 6000 referral each year and acts as a tertiary service for complex early pregnancy problems as well as dealing with acute gynaecology. The same service runs specialist clinics for possible ovarian pathology and rapid access clinics for women with possible gynaecological malignancy.It is expected that the research will contribute towards a qualification of higher education (MD/PhD) at Imperial College London. The candidate is responsible for higher degree registration fees however a discount is applied for Trust staff (please access current information on this)'. Duties and responsibilities: Research sessions and two weekly clinical sessions which may include the following: regular morning ward rounds of in-patients in both obstetrics and gynecology. Assessment of patients in Day Assessment / Triage in Obstetrics, The Early Pregnancy and Acute Gynecology Unit is required during the day and Labour Ward cover is also integral. Elective Caesarean Section lists occur daily during the week when junior trainees are supervised operating on cases suitable for their level of training by consultants and senior trainees. Trainees are expected to participate in regular appropriate handovers to their colleagues and follow up patients with abnormal results. There are opportunities for supervised scanning in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and to learn basic surgical skills.     Pathway Lead for Psychology in Early Intervention in Psychosis Services in Redbridge (Clinical/Counselling psychologist) Band 8b (0.6 FTE) Permanent Job overview We are looking to appoint a 0.6 FTE Highly Specialist Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to work in the Early Intervention in psychosis service in Redbridge as Pathway Lead f). We would consider part time arrangements in addition to job share with the other maternity cover post advertised for the same team. This post will suit an enthusiastic psychologist with a passion for developing and implementing evidence-based psychological therapies with people with early psychosis and their families. The candidate will be someone who values multi-disciplinary team working. The post holder will join a well-established and supportive early intervention in psychosis service for people aged between 14-65 who are experiencing a first episode of psychosis and their families. The team offer NICE concordant care, which includes an emphasis on access to Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for psychosis (CBTp), Family Interventions for psychosis (FIp) and trauma- focussed interventions, such a Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET). Main duties of the job The post holder will also provide specialist psychological assessment, individual therapy, family interventions and group work. The post holder will be expected to work closely with the multidisciplinary team and offer consultation on psychological approaches to working with psychosis, as well as teaching and supervision of qualified, assistant and trainee psychologists. The team includes Band 8a and Band 7 psychologists as well as an assistant psychologist who offers a well-being and support package to carers. The post holder will lead across the four NELFT boroughs (Havering, Waltham Forest, Redbridge, Barking & Dagenham), with the support of the Professional and Strategic Lead for Psychological Services in EIS, across one of the four priority areas: Family Intervention. Our other priority areas are trauma-informed care, addressing inequalities, community psychology and outcome monitoring. The post holder will be expected to participate in supervision and CPD focused on evidence based interventions in psychosis. We offer monthly group supervision in FIp and NET. In addition, the post holder will receive individual supervision. In collaboration with colleagues from other NELFT EIS teams, the post holder will contribute to expert by experience involvement in service development. Starting with NELFT NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Goodmayes Hospital. Probationary Period This post will be subject to a probationary period. Research and service evaluation · To contribute to the development, evaluation and monitoring of the team’s operational policies and services, through the deployment of professional skills in research, service valuation and audit · To advise both service and professional management on those aspects of the service where clinical and/or organisational matters need addressing · To utilise theory, evidence-based literature and research to support evidence based practice in individual work and work with other team members · To undertake appropriate research and provide research advice to other staff undertaking research · To familiarise themselves with, and to comply with, the Trust’s requirements on research governance. · To contribute to the development and maintenance of the highest professional standards of practice, through active participation in internal and external CPD training and development programmes · To contribute to the development and articulation of best practice in systemic and family therapy and delivery of CBTp across the service · To use computer software packages to prepare reports, presentations and documents relevant to working duties · To undertake administrative tasks in line with service requirements, making appropriate use of administrative support available Mandatory Training · The post holder will complete the CNWL mandatory training programme annually within directed timescales · Attend relevant multi-agency planning meetings such as Child In Need, Child Protection conferences, professionals meetings and CPAs · Familiarise and adhere to trust Policy and Procedure Professional Standards and Performance Review The post holder will fully participate in the Trust’s Appraisal / Supervision Programme and work with their manager to ensure that they have a clear job plan and objectives The post holder will actively participate in the EIS internal duty systems as required Flexible Working The post holder will undertake any other duties as appropriate to the grade/role and work flexibly across sites as required. Safeguarding As a Band 7 Specialist Early Intervention in Psychosis Clinical Psychologist you have a duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and adults at risk of abuse. You should be aware of local safeguarding procedures and how to contact named professionals for advice and support as well as reporting any concerns.
