This is a role within theGreen Paper for Transforming children and young people’s mental health programme The post holder will work within Brent Mental Health Support Team providing short-term evidence-based interventions to children and young people with mild to moderate anxiety and depression and/or behavioural difficulties and their parent(s)/carer(s). The post holder will work with children, young people and parents with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities. The post holder will also be required to complete a 1 year EMHP supervisor training programme if not already completed The MHST works with Young people with mild to moderate mental health presentations attending school/education setting in the Harrow area. The purpose of the team is to • Provide evidence-based 1-1 and group interventions to CYP and parents for mild to moderate mental health issues. • Support the senior mental health lead in each education setting to introduce or develop their whole school or college approach. • Give timely advice to school and college staff, and liaising with external specialist services, to help children and young people to get the right support and stay in education. Young people have access to the MHST through their education setting. School staff and other potential referrers are able to contact a team of clinical staff to discuss potential referrals. The MHST clinician will manage referrals, deal with queries, undertake clinical telephone triage and face to face assessment, give advice and signpost young people where appropriate. The role involves regular supervision of junior clinicians within the team including Trainee and Qualified Education Mental Health Practitioners. The postholder will also join the duty rota for the service. Experience and Qualifications required: Experience: As a representative of the company, you will be expected to have experience in, or be able to demonstrate the ability of the following: • Strong background in quality assurance and assessment practices. • Experience in verifying regulated qualifications. • Exceptional communication skills. • Proven ability to deliver and coordinate training sessions, including standardisation and other standards-focused activities. • In-depth knowledge of specifications relevant to your specialist sector, encompassing both internal and external requirements. • Examples of previous leadership or support roles in essential quality assurance activities. Senior Clinical Fellow – Young Adult Hip Service The Trauma and Orthopaedic service at University College Hospital is led by 16 Consultants who specialise in a range of elective and trauma work. We are seeking a Senior Clinical fellow to join the young adult hip service, specialising in hip preservation and replacement surgery. The Fellow will also be working alongside a team of musculoskeletal radiologists, anaesthetists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and hand therapists. We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled orthopaedic surgeon with keen interest and experience in hip surgery – specifically wanting to be trained in hip replacement, arthroscopy and periacetabular osteotomy. The candidate must be post MRCS, have at least 36 months Orthopaedic experience and have obtained full registration with the General Medical Council of the United Kingdom. Overalls, gloves and masks are worn when processing. This role requires fine manipulation, so manual dexterity is essential, as is accuracy and attention to detail and good eyesight. The post-holder is expected to have knowledge of and work according to the principles of Good, Manufacturing Practice, in order to maintain the department’s Manufacturing “Specials” Licence. They will be expected to help the Chief and Senior Technicians in the unit with the training of all new staff working in the unit and re-training of any staff who have been absent from working in that part of the rotation for a long time.
