The Directorate’s actively supports continuous professional development, and post holders will be encouraged to develop their knowledge and understanding of the policies, processes and subject matter relevant to their portfolio to support effective delivery and decision -making. You may also contribute to the setting up of new grant schemes, mandatory and routine reporting for schemes, writing or contributing to Ministerial advice and other SCS briefing documents. The role may also include the direct line management of staff.    Given the diverse range of work within the team, a matrix management structure is in place. Whilst you will be allocated to a functional line manager, you will also work with other managers where required.  These roles have two major components:  Grant Appraisal - leading the appraisal of applications for BIST funding. This includes acting as the primary contact between BIST and the applicant throughout the appraisal process and managing assessors (including economists, lawyers, accountants and policy professionals) to complete appraisals to in line with HMG best-practice on-time. This also involves drafting investment papers, ministerial submissions and grant offer letters. Grant Monitoring & Assurance – managing a portfolio of grant beneficiaries to undertake the effective monitoring, assurance and compliant closure of awards. This involves analysing claims and supporting evidence against terms of funding agreements and, where appropriate, conducting remedial action for non-compliance. This will require regular contact (including site visits) with a wide range of businesses. Key Responsibilities 1. Roles and Responsibilities for the Sub-team Lead Be responsible and accountable for the teams service performance. Ensure provision of high-quality, evidence-basedand cost-effective care for children and young people accessing the team and service. Provide clinical leadership for the sub-specialty team. Working in collaboration with the other Sub-Team Lead and Consultant Psychiatrist to deliver outcomes for the team. Implement and embed the CAMHS clinical model of brief intervention through defined care pathways. Contribute to systems for achieving agreed targets, including evaluating capacity and clinical activity to improve waiting times and throughput. Provide assurance that staff accessappropriate casemanagement and therapy supervision in line with Service Line and Trust policies. Support evaluation of clinical outcomes atsubspecialistteam level. Create a culture of continuous quality improvement and contribute actively to servicequality-improvementinitiatives. Contribute to the local Care Quality and Performance Group and clinical-effectiveness systems and processes. Support review of skill mix and recruitment to deliver serviceobjectives. Participate in planning,distributionand allocation of clinical, administrative,professionaland managerial tasks. Contribute to evidence-based clinical practice and guidelines, local partnership work and stakeholder meetings when delegated. 2. Clinical Deliver generic CAMHS assessments of children and young people referred to the Neurodevelopmental Team within required timescales. Contribute to Neurodevelopment Assessments, Conduct ADHD assessments and Contribute to Autism assessments as required (training for this can be provided within the role). Formulate and implement evidence-based care plans across the full range of care settings. Implement a range of short- and long-term systemic psychotherapy interventions for individuals, carers,familiesand groups within the Neurodevelopmental Pathway. Evaluate treatment options using relevant theoretical and therapeutic models and consideration ofhighly complexfactors. Exercise autonomous professional responsibility for assessment,treatmentand discharge. Provide specialistsystemic consultation, formulation, expertise and guidance that contributes to assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and multidisciplinary decision-making. Undertake risk assessment and riskmanagement, andadvise other professionals on these matters. Act as care coordinator or lead professional,initiatingand reviewing CAMHS care plans. Communicate assessment,formulationandtreatmentinformation in a skilled and sensitive manner. Participate in the community dutyrota. Support the dutyrotaas lead on-site a few times a month. To be noted: This list is not exhaustive; the post holder may be required to undertake additional duties consistent with the grade.
