The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering one or more strategic, Trust-wide programmes that drive service transformation, quality improvement and operational excellence across The Royal Marsden. Working with executive sponsors, senior clinical and operational leaders, patients and corporate teams, the post holder will translate organisational objectives into coherent programmes of work, providing leadership and oversight across multiple interdependent projects from scoping and design through to implementation, benefits realisation and transition into business as usual. Current transformation priorities include enhancing outpatient efficiency, implement innovative developments in Genomics, improving inpatient flow and modernising care pathways across the Trust. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading complex transformation and quality improvement initiatives within a healthcare environment. The role requires excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to work confidently with senior clinical leaders, Executive Directors and multidisciplinary teams to drive change, align priorities and deliver measurable benefits. This role will lead the prioritisation, planning and delivery of transformation projects arising from one or more of the improvement programmes. The post holder must have experience of leading quality improvement and/or transformation initiatives, experience in the use of quality improvement techniques, and be able to work alongside clinical and non-clinical staff and patients in the drive for improvement. They will be expected to engage senior clinical and operational leaders up to Executive Director level, and support the key stakeholders in the delivery of improvement programmes, through the management of change and transformation in order to secure optimal service outcomes for patients and staff whilst ensuring that the financial benefits of projects are maximised.
