The team provides holistic health and social care assessments for people over the age 18 years, who are registered with a Bexley GP and/ or live in the Borough of Bexley . The team act as a liaison between acute and community settings, by identifying the most appropriate onward referrals and initiating integrated care pathways, ensuring seamless provision of care and on- going case management. Referrals are received from Health and Social Care professionals, Medical Teams, General Practitioners, and Ambulance Services. A valid UK Driving Licence and access to a car is essential for this post. This post will work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team, including health and social services colleagues to meet the needs of clients referred to the Rapid Response Team , ensuring the highest possible standards of practice. This post will involve assisting the physiotherapy occupational therapy and nursing staff in delivering rehabilitation programmes, treatment sessions, and undertake clinical nursing activities. The post holder will deliver designated individualised care and support plans within the community setting, supporting the Rapid Response Team members by facilitating high quality evidence based practice. The Rapid Response Team (RRT) is a multi- professional team consisting of Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Advanced Primary Care Nurses, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Social Workers, Health and Social Care Assistants, and administrators. The team aims to avoid unnecessary presentation to hospital and residential care, by supporting community patients who are in crisis and to prevent direct hospital admission from Accident and Emergency and other areas such as Frailty Clinic and Clinical Decision Units. The Rapid Response team is able to provide community follow up and support and review for up to 5 days. Oxleas offers a wide range of NHS healthcare services to people living in South East London and Kent and to people in prison. Job Overview: This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Narrative Exposure Therapy in Early Intervention in Psychosis (NETp): A feasibility Randomised Control Trial (RCT) study.https://fundingawards.nihr.ac.uk/award/NIHR206724 This study is led by Dr Miriam Fornells-Ambrojo, Associate Professor at the Department of Clinical, Health and Educational Psychology at University College London (UCL) and Professor Sonia Johnson, Consultant Psychiatrist at the Islington Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Service and also based in Division of Psychiatry (UCL). The post holder will be based within the Camden and Islington EIP teams and will work with the NETp study team including lead principal investigators, patient and public involvement lead several other senior clinical psychologists. The trial started in November 2024and will terminate at the end of May 2027.Fifty-one participants with a history of multiple trauma and re-experiencing symptoms (PTSD trauma intrusions and/or anomalous experiences or distressing beliefs thematically linked to trauma) have been recruited and randomly allocated to receive NET(+ TAU) or TAU alone. Results of this feasibility trial will be used to inform a more substantive trail of NETp in first episode psychosis teams. This is a fixed term, part-time research post to support and enhance the delivery of a randomised controlled trial at one of the sites in an exciting NIHR funded multi-centre project. The role will involve completing follow-up assessments, including structured research interviews with participants already enrolled in the study, and helping them to complete patient-reported outcome measures.The post holder will be responsible for the secure storage and management of all data collected. There may be opportunities to be involved in qualitative data collection and analysis. The post holder will be employed and managed by North London NHS Foundation Trust, and work within the Camden and Islington EIP teams. They will also be required to work at the other sites for the study, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT), where they will occasionally support their counterparts with follow up assessments. This is an exciting opportunity to be a Research Assistant on a multicentre randomised controlled NIHR funded clinical trial comparing the effectiveness of stimulant versus nonstimulant ADHD medication in children and young people who are experiencing both attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and tics: “SATURN” (Stimulant medication for ADHD and Tics – Understanding Response versus Non-stimulants). This post is based at the Service for Complex Autism & Neurodevelopmental Disorders (SCAAND) Neuropsychiatry Team, a National & Specialist CAMHS within South London and Maudsley (SLaM) NHS Trust. This multicentre study is led by Professor Chris Hollis at the University of Nottingham. Under the supervision of the Southern Hub lead, Dr Nicoletta Adamo, and in close collaboration with the study’s Trial Manager at Nottingham University, the post-holder will be vital in the successful recruitment and assessment of participants. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wishes to have a career in mental health / research. There is also the possibility of gaining some additional clinical experience with the clinical team. This post has arisen as the previous post holder has successfully in obtained a place on DClin Psych training. This is a 12-months fixed-term contract. Dr Celine Ryckaert is the Principal Investigators (PIs) for the SLaM recruiting sites (Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham and Croydon, and National and Specialist CAMHS). Dr Osman Malik is PI for the Guy’s and St Thomas’ Trust Evelina London Children’s Hospital site. GOSH (Great Ormond Street Hospital) and North East London NHS Foundation Trust (NELFT) are acting as a PIC (Participant Identification Centre) site. The team are very supportive, and there are weekly hub meetings with the research team, alongside monthly hub meetings with the wider southern hub sites, and regular Research Assistant meetings with the central Clinical Research Trials Unit Manager, Emily McGann. The post is based within the National and Specialist SCAAND Team, who are also very supportive, and with whom there is the potential for opportunities to gain additional clinical experience. This role is based within the National Specialist CAMHS outpatients in the Pears Maudsley Centre for Children and Young People (PMCYP)at the Maudsley site. The post holder will need to travel to other participating centres in the Southern Hub to facilitate the participants’ initial visit in the research study. Participants referred from the PIC sites will be assessed at the Maudsley site. One of the core responsibilities of the role is to identify and recruit participants to the SATURN trial, under the direction of their line manager and the SATURN trial team. This will involve meeting with clinicians, community mental health teams, primary care staff and service users to promote recruitment to the project. Other key accountabilities of the role • Carrying out trial assessments of participants face-to-face or by telephone/video conference under the direction of the Chief Investigator, Principal Investigator, Hub Lead and Trial Manager. • Ensuring treatments, assessment, follow-ups and data collection is coordinated and processed according to protocol-defined timelines. • Taking responsibility for local site coordination including maintenance of the site file and reporting site performance back to the clinical trials unit. • Supporting site study set-up including assisting with preparation of local documentation and approvals, attending training and cascading of training. • Providing on-going information and support for patients involved in the trial. • Entering data collected onto a project database according to the study protocol and in keeping with the Data Protection Act and prepare written reports of activity as required. • Recording and reporting adverse events/serious adverse events. Reporting to the Farm Manager, you will be the lead person on the ground responsible for delivering the weekly farm plan and overseeing the day to day operation of the farm.
