    The Forensic Liaison & Diversion (L&D) Service is looking for a Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our service. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join the Forensic Liaison and Diversion Team in South-West London & St George’s Mental Health Trust (SWLSTG). The Forensic Liaison and Diversion (L&D) services aim to provide early intervention for vulnerable people of all ages as they come to the attention of the criminal justice system. L&D services provide a prompt response to concerns raised by the police, probation service, youth offending teams or court staff, and provide critical information to decision-makers in the justice system, in real time, when it comes to charging and sentencing these vulnerable people. L&D also acts as a point of referral and assertive follow up for these services users, to ensure they can access, and are supported to attend, treatment and rehabilitation appointments. In this way, L&D services are expected to help reduce reoffending, reduce unnecessary use of police and court time, ensure that health matters are dealt with by healthcare professionals, and reduce health inequalities for some of the most vulnerable in society. Improving health outcomes for mentally disordered offenders through early identification and screening and providing interventions that facilitate timely and appropriate pathways to care. To provide a service to Wandsworth Police Custody Suite and support to junior colleagues at Wimbledon magistrates The shift pattern consists of a mixture of early shift (08:00-16:00) and late shift (14:00-22:00) hrs Monday to Friday and the weekend service operating hours are 13.00-21:00hrs.     National and Specialist CAMHS present an exciting opportunity to recruit a highly motivated and experienced specialist clinician to a full-time band 6 Senior Occupational Therapist post within the multi-disciplinary SCAAND team based at the new Pears Maudsley. SCAAND provides a number of streams of mental health care for autistic young people and young people with other neurodevelopmental conditions including intellectual disability and we offer a specific occupational therapy pathway which offers comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions. We have a new sensory integration intervention room which will provide new, exciting opportunities for delivery of occupational therapy. Clinical work in the team is diverse, collaborative, evidence-based and truly multi-disciplinary, and includes an interesting mix of direct and indirect intervention and consultation to clinicians in local teams. The role offers a range of service development, supervision, teaching, clinical leadership and research opportunities, and SCAAND clinicians have access to a range of CPD and training both within and outside of SLAM NHS Trust. The postholder will work as a Senior Occupational Therapist in SCAAND contributing to comprehensive MDT assessments, providing specialist occupational therapy assessment, formulation and interventions for children, young people parents/carers, and providing consultation, training and support to local CAMHs clinicians and multi-agency networks. Key components of this post will involve both assessment skills (sensory/motor assessments to understand participation, behaviour and emotional regulation) as well as adapted intervention skills; and good knowledge of development and neurodevelopment is important. The role also includes providing supervision to students and team support. Supporting the occupational therapy aspects of case formulation and planning within the MDT is also a key component of the role, and highly valued within the team in both regular meetings and joint working. We have been delivering ½ day workshops to various services around England. The post holder will work closely with occupational therapists in SCAAND, AID-IIT and Orchid and other N&S CAMHS teams. Children and young people referred to the service may also have associated genetic conditions, sensory impairments, physical impairments or other additional needs. The Specialist Hip & Knee Unit offers an exceptional fellowship opportunity for surgeons seeking advanced training in orthopaedic procedures. Led by a team of 12 substantive consultants, the fellowship provides comprehensive exposure to complex hip and knee arthroplasty, with unique flexibility for candidates to tailor their experience towards either arthroplasty, hip surgery or knee surgery. The Fellow’s post will provide exposure to all aspects of the management of patients with primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty and complex limb reconstruction. There will be ample opportunity to assist and gain experience with the full range of extremity and pelvic surgical cases. Attendance at arthroplasty MDT meetings is expected. The Fellow will be allocated to one of the sub teams within the unit and have the opportunity to rotate at 6 months. The Fellow will attend fixed outpatient clinics and operating lists. There will be opportunities to sit in clinic with the consultants as a learning experience as well as see patients independently. Likewise, in theatre, there will be opportunities to assist with complex surgical procedures as well as undertake surgery as the lead surgeon. They will play a key role in optimising the clinical environment using a Family Integrated Care (Ficare) framework such as BAPM Framework for Practice, providing resources for staff, parents and their families. To ensure that nursing practice is contemporary, the role will include a clinical shift once a week, supporting the NICU roster. A minimum of 34.5 hours over 4 days per week will be considered. To collaborate and work in partnership to promote, support and assess a Ficare culture across all aspects of neonatal care.
