The Endoscopy department at University Hospitals of Derby & Burton NHS Foundation Trust currently have 3 endoscopy units across 3 of our sites: • Royal Derby Hospital - 7 Rooms • Queens Hospital Burton - 3 rooms • Sir Robert Peel - 2 Rooms And delivery over 30,000 procedures annually, all sites are currently JAG accredited. We have a dedicated Clinical Lead for endoscopy along with a Clinical training lead. Endoscopy at RDH perform ERCP, EUS, capsule endoscopy and complex EMR procedures. We have a dedicated ERCP procedure room, provide an emergency inpatient endoscopy list 365 days a year and have a dedicated endoscopy nurse on call rota These exciting newly appointed roles will include back filling cancelled endoscopy sessions (5 per week along with 2 training sessions) but we will also encourage specialised training for endoscopic procedures such as complicated EMRs and EUS. The University Hospitals of Derby & Burton Gastroenterology department have: • 15 Luminal Consultants • 6 Hepatology Consultants • Our surgical colleagues' also support the unit: • 10 Colorectal surgeons • 9 Upper GI surgeons • 10 Consultant surgeons at QHB Due to existing endoscopy clinical fellows training requirements, specialist training can only currently be delivered in HPB endoscopy, i.e. ERCP and Endoscopic ultrasound. This post will be based at the Royal Derby Hospital campus and is designed to support the activities of the endoscopy department across all 3 sites and acquire specialist advanced endoscopy training. The post-holder will work alongside a variety of Consultant Gastroenterologists and GI Surgeons and will be responsible to the clinical lead in Endoscopy. This is a one-year post specifically intended for registrars (or equivalent) approaching their CCST or immediate post CCST (or equivalent), and wishing to expand their endoscopy / research experience and undertake further training in therapeutic and advanced colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS and as such is most suited to those reaching the end of their specialist training in gastroenterology. As the candidate will be conducting service endoscopy sessions independently they will need to have achieved competency in diagnostic upper and lower GI endoscopy. Experience in capsule endoscopy reporting and common therapeutic endoscopic procedures is also desirable but not essential. It would also be suitable however for anyone with sufficient endoscopic experience e.g. staff grades in gastroenterology. The appointee will be expected to undertake 5 service endoscopy lists and 2 training lists in either ERCP, EUS, or advanced colonic polypectomy (EMR). Appointees will be expected to identify a training requirement at interview (i.e. undertake 12 months training in either ERCP, EUS, or advanced colonic polypectomy (EMR). The States of Guernsey are looking for a Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service. The Senior Mental Health Practitioner will be acting as a key member of the multi-disciplinary team and will provide skilled assessment for under 18’s with a range of psychological, psychiatric or risk-based issues. The post holder will also provide psychosocial, evidence-based interventions using a collaborative approach and will be skilled at-risk assessment and case management. The Practitioner will complement the multi-disciplinary working of the team, providing supervision for other team members, as agreed with the Team Leader. A large proportion of the duties will require you to cover the Emergency Duty Rota and to do regular urgent or routine assessments also. If so, an opportunity has arisen for a Senior Peer Support Worker to work as part of the Complex Emotional Needs (CEN) pathway, which is part of the Brent Integrated Psychology & Psychotherapy Service (BIPPS) within the Brent Community Mental Health hubs. This is a unique opportunity for someone with their own lived experience to support the continued effort to embed the authentic values of coproduction within the CEN Pathway. With support from the Trust-wide CEN Advanced Lived Experience Practitioner, the successful post-holder will work alongside members of BIPPS and the wider Multi-Disciplinary Team within the Brent Community Mental Health Hub to support the development and delivery of the Brent CEN Pathway. The role is aimed at candidates whose distress can been understood as Complex Emotional Needs or diagnosed as personality disorder and have experiences of having used secondary care mental health services AND previously worked in a range of settings as a peer support worker, lived experience worker or equivalent role. The post holder will take a lead role in embedding recovery values within the service settings in which they work alongside other Trust recovery champions.
