Senior Clinical Fellow – Young Adult Hip Service The Trauma and Orthopaedic service at University College Hospital is led by 16 Consultants who specialise in a range of elective and trauma work. We are seeking a Senior Clinical fellow to join the young adult hip service, specialising in hip preservation and replacement surgery. The Fellow will also be working alongside a team of musculoskeletal radiologists, anaesthetists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and hand therapists. We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled orthopaedic surgeon with keen interest and experience in hip surgery – specifically wanting to be trained in hip replacement, arthroscopy and periacetabular osteotomy. The candidate must be post MRCS, have at least 36 months Orthopaedic experience and have obtained full registration with the General Medical Council of the United Kingdom. Band 5 Senior Pharmacy Technician – Patient Services (Outpatient) This post is based on Barnet Hospital of the Royal Free Hospital Trust. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and adaptable Pharmacy Technician with good communication and interpersonal skills to take on this challenging post. Your role will involve working with Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and other health care professionals on providing Medicines Management services at ward level. National and Specialist CAMHS present an exciting opportunity to recruit a highly motivated and experienced specialist clinician to a full-time band 6 Senior Occupational Therapist post within the multi-disciplinary SCAAND team based at the new Pears Maudsley. SCAAND provides a number of streams of mental health care for autistic young people and young people with other neurodevelopmental conditions including intellectual disability and we offer a specific occupational therapy pathway which offers comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions. We have a new sensory integration intervention room which will provide new, exciting opportunities for delivery of occupational therapy. Clinical work in the team is diverse, collaborative, evidence-based and truly multi-disciplinary, and includes an interesting mix of direct and indirect intervention and consultation to clinicians in local teams. The role offers a range of service development, supervision, teaching, clinical leadership and research opportunities, and SCAAND clinicians have access to a range of CPD and training both within and outside of SLAM NHS Trust. The postholder will work as a Senior Occupational Therapist in SCAAND contributing to comprehensive MDT assessments, providing specialist occupational therapy assessment, formulation and interventions for children, young people parents/carers, and providing consultation, training and support to local CAMHs clinicians and multi-agency networks. Key components of this post will involve both assessment skills (sensory/motor assessments to understand participation, behaviour and emotional regulation) as well as adapted intervention skills; and good knowledge of development and neurodevelopment is important. The role also includes providing supervision to students and team support. Supporting the occupational therapy aspects of case formulation and planning within the MDT is also a key component of the role, and highly valued within the team in both regular meetings and joint working. There are also opportunities for developing and delivering teaching and training internally, to local training programmes, and to external services and other agencies. We have been delivering ½ day workshops to various services around England. The post holder will work closely with occupational therapists in SCAAND, AID-IIT and Orchid and other N&S CAMHS teams. SCAAND provides support for children and young people with a range of neurodevelopmental needs, including autism and intellectual disability, who present with additional mental health, emotional and/or behavioural needs. Clinical Fellow (ST5-7 LEVEL) in RAC We are seeking an outstanding clinical Fellow in Rapid Access. The post is at Hillingdon NHS Trust which has an excellent reputation for its friendly, supportive culture. The post is suitable for an ST5 or above doctor in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The post is appropriate for those wishing to gain out of programme experience (OOPE). It may also be suitable for those not currently in training or those who have finished training. The service sees approximately 1500 patients per year and last year diagnosed 93 cancers. Our aim is to further improve our FDS target and streamline services to introduce more one stop clinics and straight to test diagnostics. The timetable will consist of rapid access clinics, outpatient hysteroscopy (diagnostic and operative) and colposcopy. These will initially be supervised with the aim of working towards independent practice. There will be an alternate week theatre session. The post will include daily ward rounds of any gynaecological cancer patients, prepping for the local MDT meeting and virtual attendance at the central MDT meeting at Hammersmith. In addition, the role will include: - Gynaecology outpatient clinic - Gynaecology on-call session - Guideline writing, audit and research - Teaching and supervision of other trainees (once appropriate) There will be some flexibility in tailoring the timetable and goals to the experience and wishes of the individual appointed and will support those wishing to work towards RCOG intermediate laparoscopy and ATSM’s in Oncology, benign gynaecology surgery: hysteroscopy and benign abdominal surgery: open and laparoscopic. There is also the potential to attain BSCCP colposcopy accreditation. Training will be supervised by Mr Neale Watson (Rapid Access Lead) in conjunction with the other rapid access Consultants (Mr Maheswari, Mr Chilcott, Miss Pugh and Miss Touqmatchi) as well as Mr Ayim (for hysteroscopy) and Miss Kothari (colposcopy). The postholder will also take part in the regular out of hours Gynaecology and Obstetrics SPR rota (but 80% of daytime work will be fellowship related, as outlined in the timetable below). We deliver acute services at Hillingdon Hospital, as well as some services at Mount Vernon Hospital. The Trust has a turnover of around £250m and employs over 3,300 staff. We deliver high-quality healthcare to the residents of the London Borough of Hillingdon, and increasingly to those living in the surrounding areas of Ealing, Harrow, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire, giving us a total catchment population of over 350,000. Recruiting for our Rotherham and Wakefield call centres Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust is now recruiting for Senior Clinical Advisors. Our NHS 111 (Integrated Urgent care) call centres are looking for experienced, enthusiastic and motivated clinicians to join our growing team of healthcare professionals. We are currently only recruiting clinicians who are NMC RN1 and HCPC Paramedic registered. We do not accept NMC PRN Pin as it does not fulfill the essential criteria for the role. We have vacancies at our Rotherham and Wakefield call centre with a range of rota’s we can discuss with you. The Senior Clinical Advisor is responsible for the assessment of health and clinical needs, utilising evidence based practice, professional clinical judgement, supported by decision support software, to achieve appropriate safe clinical outcomes for our patients. Our multi-disciplinary team of staff provide a high level of clinical care to patients across the Yorkshire and Humber region, using telephone communication systems. Our clinical staff are highly skilled in the field of remote clinical triage and assessment, supported by computer-based decision-supporting tools. Training You will commence your role on a training contract until successful completion of your training, following this you will then be moved onto a permanent contract. Training will be 7 weeks full time. We do not have any homeworking opportunities. Working as part of the Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust, we offer a high standard and professional service to our patients, supporting them by providing high level, evidence-based care, where necessary signposting to the most appropriate service or care provider including, ambulance dispatch and the wider community based services. As part of working within the IUC team, you will be offered training and support into the field of remote clinical triage and assessment, with opportunity to progress and develop professionally through a verity of CPD opportunities. Telephone triage will support your on-going accreditation. Unsocial hours payments All time on Saturday (midnight to midnight) and any week day after 8pm and before 6am – time plus 30% All time on Sunday and Public Holidays (midnight to midnight) – time plus 60% Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) NHS Trust geographically covers nearly 6,000 square miles of varied terrain, from isolated moors and dales to urban areas, coastline and inner cities.
