Every day is different within the Service department. As a Autocare Technician/Mechanic apprentice, some of your duties will include: Use of diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults. Testing of parts and systems to ensure correct working. Following checklists to ensure all critical parts of vehicles are examined. Carrying out bumper to bumper overview, service, and inspection. Maintenance of electronic systems including on- board entertainment systems. Completion of legible and accurate paperwork for the customers and centres records Maintenance of a clean and tidy work environment. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of products including traditional, hybrid and electronic engines. Successful applicants are required to travel to a centrally located training facility to complete their apprenticeship training. The Apprentice Dental Technician will learn to receive, assess, design, manufacture, finish, quality-check and dispatch dental appliances and laboratory work under appropriate supervision. The role will provide practical experience across fixed and removable prosthodontics, dental materials, digital dentistry and CAD/CAM, quality assurance, infection prevention and control, health and safety, professional conduct and communication. The apprentice will work progressively towards the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for GDC registration as a Dental Technician through the approved education and training programme. Regulatory and Professional Framework The apprentice will be expected to work in accordance with: • General Dental Council (GDC) Standards for the Dental Team. • GDC guidance relating to trainee/student dental technicians. • GDC requirements for education and training leading to registration. • The laboratory's policies, procedures and quality management system. • Relevant legislation relating to health and safety, medical devices, confidentiality, data protection and infection prevention and control. • The requirements of the approved Level 3 Dental Technology qualification and training provider. You will gain practical experience in dispensing, stock management, and customer service, while also working towards your Pharmacy Services Assistant qualification. Training and Development: * Actively participate in the Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship programme in coordination with the training provider and under the guidance of the pharmacy team. Complete all required coursework, assessments, and training modules in line with the apprenticeship framework. Dispensing and Pharmacy Operations: * Assist in the selection, labelling, and dispensing of pharmaceutical products in accordance with prescriptions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). * Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and professional requirements at all times. * Support the accurate and timely processing of NHS and private prescriptions. * Participate in monthly NHS prescription submissions to ensure accuracy and efficiency. * Contribute to the accuracy of purchasing, dispensing and endorsing to maximise reimbursement. Customer Service and Advice: * Deliver high standards of customer service, responding to general health and OTC (over-the-counter) enquiries. * Use approved protocols and your knowledge to recommend suitable products and advise on their correct use. * Provide information on leading a healthy lifestyle and refer customers to the pharmacist where appropriate. Stock and Inventory Management: * Receive and check deliveries, sort and store stock in line with SOPs. * Ensure appropriate storage and handling of all medicines and products. * Assist in stock control activities, including maintaining adequate stock levels and expiry date management. Healthcare Services Support: * Help prepare Monitored Dosage Systems (MDS) and support services to care homes and other care settings. * Work with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of patient care, particularly across primary and secondary care. Administrative and General Duties: * Operate the till and card machines, maintaining accurate cash handling practices. * Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation and security in both the retail and dispensary areas. * Keep up to date with product knowledge, industry news, and training resources. * Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by line management to support the smooth running of the pharmacy. We are seeking a Degree Apprenticeship Workplace Reviewer you will work closely with colleagues across the School of Engineering and Built Environment and the School of Computing to support the Nuclear Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Materials Science Technologist Degree Apprenticeship. You will be part of a team of staff of academics, tripartite reviewers and managers who deliver the Degree Apprenticeships to a wide range of employers. As a Degree Apprenticeship Workplace Reviewer, you will arrange and conduct tripartite reviews with individual apprentices and their employer representatives. Integration between academic and professional learning is a key feature of our apprenticeship programmes and it supports apprentices’ success in their degree programme. You will organise tripartite visits with employers representatives and apprentices to ensure the implementation of quality reviews and assessment of off and on-the-job evidence for audit using an e-portfolio. You will act as a personal professional academic tutor for apprentices and will need to engage actively to support learners who have disclosed a need for additional support.
