12-Month Fixed Term Contract / Secondment Opportunity (30 hours per week) An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join the Older People’s Community Mental Health Service on a 12-month fixed-term contract or secondment basis. This new and innovative role will work across all localities within the service, supporting the coordination and delivery of Mental Health Act Section 117 reviews for older adults living in the community. Working alongside administrative colleagues and multidisciplinary teams, the post holder will play a key role in ensuring that statutory reviews are completed effectively, promoting high-quality, person-centred care. The successful candidate will work closely with Responsible Clinicians, Clinical Leads and wider multidisciplinary teams to coordinate reviews, contribute to care planning, and ensure accurate recording of key information within clinical systems. You will participate in a range of clinical duties but with aparticular specialism and focus in scientific computing applied to radiotherapy. Join our dynamic Endoscopy team as a Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse and play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within a fast-paced and supportive environment. The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership, support the day-to-day coordination of the unit and work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective service delivery. You will be involved in caring for patients throughout the endoscopy pathway including admission, pre assessment, procedure, recovery and discharge. The role includes assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, supporting patient flow and maintaining high standards of infection prevention and patient safety. Applicants must hold a valid Nursing and Midwifery Council registration and have recent experience within an endoscopy setting. Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills are essential. Experience supporting junior staff, students and quality improvement initiatives is desirable. A variety of SITMs are offered in both obstetrics and gynaecology. This post will provide the opportunity for the post holder to access specialist clinical sessions appropriate to their development needs. Please see RCOG Training matrix to review expected competencies as we would expect the post holder to be competent at skills ST1-5. The post holders will be required to contribute to a 48 hour EWTD full shift rota. 1) To support the inpatient service in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at New Cross Hospital. 2) Outpatient workload: duties involve antenatal/gynaecology clinics and elective operating theatre lists 3) Research, education, audit and continuing professional development a. To take responsibility for continuing professional education in accordance with guidelines set out by the appropriate college/faculty/professional body. b. To initiate and participate in research and audit programmes in accordance with Trust policies and procedures. c. To work in collaboration with colleagues in developing skills to provide new ways of working across different professions, organisations i.e. community/primary care. 4) In conjunction with colleagues, to ensure that the requirements of clinical governance are met. 5) Duties will involve labour ward and emergency gynaecology cover, antenatal/gynaecology clinics and elective operating theatre lists.
