The Service – Liaison Psychiatry The Liaison psychiatry service aims to provide mental health advice and support to individuals receiving care and treatment at general hospitals in Kent and Medway. The liaison team can then offer advice, support or a full mental and psychological health assessment as appropriate. About the Role As the Head & Neck Fellow, you will gain extensive experience across the full range of ablative procedures, including: Advanced and complex salvage Head & Neck cases Close collaborative working with both ENT and Maxillofacial Consultants offers comprehensive exposure to reconstructive pathways and multidisciplinary care. During the fellowship, you will be supported to manage patients across the full clinical pathway—from initial presentation and MDT discussion, through surgery, into the postoperative and follow‑up phases. About the Department QVH is a leading regional Head & Neck unit operating a successful hub-and-spoke model serving a significant population across the South East. The department includes: 16 OMFS Consultants A high volume of weekly theatre lists dedicated to Head & Neck, thyroid, and parathyroid cases A fully equipped maxillofacial laboratory, including in-house 3D planning and wafer construction The fellow will be an integral part of the clinical team, attending theatre, being part of the oncall team both evening and weekend to gain amazing trauma experience, general and specialty clinics, MDT meetings, and consultant-led sessions. Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow Higher (ST6+)/ Senior in Hepatobiliary (HPB) Surgery at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, part of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This post is to commence on 06 January 2027 for a 12 month period. The Cambridge HPB Surgical Unit is the centralised regional HPB referral centre for East Anglia covering a population of 2.5million. Our unit is one of the largest in the UK in terms of clinical volumes (8 Consultant HPB surgeons, >120 liver resections, >100 pancreatic resections annually), with excellent surgical outcomes. The post offers excellent sub-specialty training in HPB surgery. Candidates require previous experience at Specialty Registrar level in General Surgery, experience in HPB Surgery is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will provide senior surgical cover for HPB patients including attending operating theatres, outpatient clinics, HPB MDT meetings, and covering the on-call rota for HPB surgery. There will not be a commitment to General Surgery or Transplant Surgery on-calls. The successful candidate will join a team of SCFs and HPB Specialty Trainees. The appointee is expected to carry out a degree of clinical work independently. We have an excellent track record of providing sub-specialty training in HPB surgery including complex HPB resectional surgery. There will be ample opportunities to be engaged in research projects leading to publications. This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Wellbeing Practitioner (SWP) or Mental Health Practitioner, with a background of working with education settings, to work in Lewisham CAMHS Mental Health Support Team (MHST). The post holder will be an SWP due to complete the approved 2-year SWP Post Graduate Diploma in Jan 2027 OR a registered Mental Health Practitioner who has undertaken a recognised qualification in one of the core mental health professions. The post holder will use their knowledge, skills, and experience to supervise trainee and qualified Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) and contribute to the general service development and functioning. The post holder will also manage a defined caseload with a focus on providing focused assessment and evidence-based intervention for children and young people (CYP) with mild to moderate mental health difficulties and their parents/carers. Part of this role will include being a named MHST Link Practitioner to a group of schools/colleges, regularly liaising with education staff, external agencies, CAMHS colleagues and other local services. • To manage a defined caseload of children and young people presenting with emotional health and wellbeing difficulties in schools • To co-ordinate and deliver individualised care packages / programmes for children and young people and evaluate these programmes, ensuring high standards of practice in accordance with national guidelines and trust policy. • To provide specialist mental health advice, consultation and signposting using an outcome-based triage model to education settings • To demonstrate the ability to work as an autonomous specialist practitioner in relation to their specialist area and in clinic which will include the reading and recording of the clinical observations of each child and the ongoing assessment of the effectiveness of treatment packages. The MHSTs are a new service designed to help meet the mental health needs of children and young people in education settings. They are made up of senior clinicians, CAMHS Practitioners and Education Wellbeing Practitioners (EWPs). They are based across education settings as an additional resource within a whole-system approach to promote resilience and wellbeing, to support earlier intervention, enable appropriate signposting and deliver evidence-based support, care and interventions. The MHSTs is partnered with their education settings to design a bespoke offer, based on a school’s individual needs and works with the mental health services that are already in place, such as counselling, educational psychology, school nurses, pastoral care, educational welfare officers, VCSEs, the local authority, including children’s social care, and NHS Children and Young People Mental Health Services (CYPMHS). There are currently three MHSTs in Lewisham, working across 39 schools. The successful candidate will be employed by Lewisham CAMHS where the MHST deliver emotional wellbeing interventions using Guided Self-Help strategies.
