Required Qualifications and Education • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certificate • Black CSCS Card indicating the highest level of site competence • Valid First Aid certification • Full, clean driving licence • Relevant construction or site management qualification (such as NVQ Level 6 or equivalent) Experience • Proven track record of working as a Site Manager or Senior Site Manager within the residential construction sector. • Experience managing medium to large scale housing developments, preferably high-specification projects. • Demonstrable experience of successfully leading site teams and subcontractors. • Strong background in managing budgets, programmes and resources on complex construction sites. • Experience liaising with clients, local authorities and regulatory bodies. Knowledge and Skills • Comprehensive understanding of construction methods, materials and legislation relevant to housing development. • Excellent organisational and time management skills to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. • Strong leadership and communication skills to motivate teams and maintain positive working relationships. • Proficient in the use of construction management software and digital reporting tools. • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and contract documents accurately. • Commitment to health and safety and quality standards on site. Preferred Qualifications • CIOB (Chartered Institute of Building) membership or equivalent professional body affiliation. • Experience with environmental and sustainability standards in construction. • Additional health and safety certifications beyond SMSTS.
