    We are looking for a courteous and motivated person to join our friendly team in Critical Care for 15 hours per week, to ensure 7 days/week ward clerk coverage. The successful candidate will work closely with the critical care team to facilitate the smooth running of the ward. The post holder will work as an integral part of the critical care team. The Ward Clerk is an integral member of the Critical Care team, providing administrative and clerical support that contributes to the effective day-to-day running of the unit and supports the patient journey. The post holder will frequently be a first point of contact for patients' relatives and visitors and must therefore demonstrate professionalism, compassion and sensitivity, recognising that families attending Critical Care may be experiencing significant anxiety, distress or bereavement. The Critical Care Inpatient Ward Clerk role consists of three principal components: i. Direct and comprehensive Critical Care administration Accurate inputting, updating and maintenance of electronic patient information using the EPIC and other relevant Critical Care or Trust systems. The post holder will support the accurate and timely administration of patient admissions, transfers and discharges and contribute to maintaining an accurate and up-to-date Critical Care bed state. ii. The duties and responsibilities below are representative of the Critical Care Inpatient Ward Administrator role and are not exhaustive. The post holder may be required to undertake additional or alternative administrative duties commensurate with the level of the post to support the effective functioning of Critical Care. You would be required to provide one to one care and assistance in the community including attending to personal care and participation in social activities. Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as: × Attending to all personal care needs (showering, toileting including bowel movements) × Walking, swimming and trampolining, assisting with participation in these physical activities × Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs. The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature and a desire to work within a caring role. Pets in the household – you must be comfortable working with a dog/cat/bird etc. in the home. Must have good interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Driver with a Full UK Driving Licence is essential and you will be required to use your own vehicle. Relevant care experience is preferred, but not essential as training will be provided. Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility) Recruiting for 1 positions. Guaranteed permanent position of 6 hours per week Days and Times: Set shifts on Saturday or Sunday, times to be discussed at interview.     An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 3 HCA to join our friendly enthusiastic and committed team. The large multidisciplinary team covers East Cheshire providing Integrated Sexual Health and Contraception services under our brand “Axess”. Experienced HCA’s will be considered for a band 3 position if they hold an NVQ level 3 or equivalent, a national care certificate, have IT skills and have experience of working within a sexual health / contraception service. Candidates without experience will be considered, all training can be provided. The role is based at the Crewe site. Applicants may be required to travel on occasion to other locations throughout East Cheshire and be flexible to work a range of early and evening shifts. We offer a structured induction plan and on-going supportive preceptorship using our whole team consisting of our HCA team, assistant practitioner, band 6 and 7 specialist nurses, specialist doctors and consultants.
