The Surgical Care group is looking to recruit a dedicated and highly skilled Band 7 Breast Nurse Specialist to support the Breast pathway , in main supporting the Breast Mastalgia pathway. You will work as an integral member of the Multidisciplinary Team within Barking Havering and Redbridge NHS Trust. You will acknowledge and provide the overall responsibility for the provision of specialist nursing advice and support to patients throughout their treatment pathway, predominantly focusing on the Breast Mastalgia pathway. You will be provided with the support to achieve the clinical leadership, coordination and the delivery and development One Stop Breast Service, Breast Pain Service, Breast Follow up Clinics and if desired Breast Care Nurse service provision alongside the current lead specialist nurse. Support will be provided in order for the applicant to achieve the clinical skills necessary for initial patient consultation, clinical assessment, radiology investigation requesting. You will be supported to be able to provide expert clinical advice and support to clinical staff within the organisation and primary services on the management of patients requiring breast care and treatment. You would effectively liaise with multidisciplinary teams and service maintaining a good rapport to ensure excellent working relationships are maintained with other departments.
