Radis Community Care have an opportunity for a full time Support worker to join our Extra Care team based in Blackberry Court in Lichfield WS13 and covering the adjacent bungalows, set within The Maples retirement village in Streethay Located in Streethay, Lichfield, Blackberry Court has 40 one and two bedroom apartments and bungalows designed to help local residents to retain as much independence and control over their lives as possible. Blackberry Court is situated one mile from the centre of Lichfield, with links to local amenities such as shops, GP, restaurant and public house. The service also has great transport links with nearby buses and Lichfield City railway station close by. Residents benefit from easy access to nearby amenities but can also enjoy the garden and on-site facilities. Our carers strive to help people we support to retain as much independence as possible, for as long as possible and are on-site 24/7. Support is tailored to the needs of each person, provided within the comfort and privacy of their own flat and can range from a little help daily to support throughout the day and night time The role will require you to assist people we support, with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing. You will have the opportunity to take part in physical and mental stimulation by taking part in recreational and social activities, both individually and as a group. The role is to promote independence, choice, dignity and respect by delivering the best standards of care. Shift times. Part time hours 7am-2.30pm, 2.30pm-10pm and alternate weekends.
